Sin City movie v. comic

Posted at 14:32 Permalink

Much of the comic book community is abuzz over the various trailers and other assorted whatevers that have been released in relation to the upcoming film version of Frank Miller's Sin City comic series. It is reputed to be one of the most faithful comic book adaptations to the silver screen ever. So much so, that Frank Miller's involvement with the film and the way that his comics were used as storyboards has him credited as a director (one of three, along with the lead director, Robert Rodriguez and "guest director" Quentin Tarantino). There are even movie to comic comparisons available over at Yahoo! movies. In most cases, the comic original is more powerful. In fairness, the movie's images aren't meant to be viewed in static form and will most likely gain energy from the actors' performances. It is interesting to see how close the film is coming in comparison to the comic.
