I read MAD in the seventies, stopped in the eighties, than started dabbling with cover submissions in the nineties. These were rejected, and I found the mag lost its' satirical bite that I knew and love. The MAD of the millenium sucks. Even the occasional Mort Drucker can't save that sinking ship. I...

Thanks! It's an excellent resource. When I free up some moola on my credit card, I plan to purchase copies(untranslated-unless ANYONE knows where i can buy translated versions of this book) of Kogaratsu. Awesome stuff! And no, I'm not pro (yet), meaning I haven't been hired by 'the big two' or the o...

Thanks for the kind words and the excellent link reference. 'Kogaratsu' looks awesome! I'm going to do a search about for it in english, if not , I'll take it just for the art! It's funny, comparisons are obvious on the outset with my story to 'Lone Wolf & Cub', but honestly! I wasn't trying to copy...

Hey, gutterfly! I voted for LOTR, though SWII is a vast improvement from I. It renewed my love for the Star Wars movie. On another note: Your music choice on your website kicks ass! As I write this I have your page open, and am enjoying the music immensely. Excellent choice! My next question is: who...

Character development
Hey Tailsteak, Categorization is not a bad thing, in particular when it comes to fleshing out the intrigate details of a story. I think its immensely helpful. The trick of course, is to take these lists, put it all together, and make it all look natural. Some writers(Ray Bradbury) can sit at a typew...

I think there is a real danger, when the 'big guys' who get all the hoopla and press anyway, make statements like what Jena said, to repeat: 'We created a magazine-sized reprint for newsstands and invented dotComics to distribute electronic versions for free.' It may seem innocent on the outset, but...

Need a pyramid - comics style
Here ya go! This is what the pyramid in Canada would look like. I'd recommend building it in Dildo, Newfoundland(there is such a place - honest!) The pyramid would be structured like this:

Vince, the new colors are great! Much nice, richer. Works much better with your art. I'm sorry, I don't like the type face choice. Comic script tries too hard to be a comicbook font, when it will never be. Try experimenting with a more direct, less decorative font, but have a variety of point sizes,...
