Oh, for heaven's sake. Surely you're not prepared to extract an agenda from the one relationship represented in the comic?Rip Tanion wrote:Mimi is turning into a Lifetime "Men Bad, Women Good" movie.

For whatever reason, I just can't shake the feeling that you've said something really profound here.William G wrote:Jesus, how fucking lazy has the web made us?sjaffredo wrote:uncomfortable scrolling up/down and left/right.

I'm curious to see if Scott plans on using all of the space that's obviously available to him.
Could be a looong improv.

How would you guys like to see this end? Everything which comes into my mind(s?) is much longer than just a few panels. I'd wish them that they meet again and find some way to improve their lives. This means that they must deal somehow with the other two minds - which needs time. Peter Er, does it?...

time
I just noticed, flipping down through the panels today, the gradual darkening from afternoon into night-time.
How far in advance do you suppose Scott plans something like that? It doesn't seem like something that could have been done impulsively.

Thought
Scott, have you ever considered getting these published in book form? I know that they're already publically available for free, so there might not be much of an audience, but if the cost of distribution were not unreasonable, I for one would shell out for the opportunity to have all of these in my ...

Eh...
56 times, the word "monkey" has been said so far. This is not a very good comic... Well, more to the point, if it's not working, then why? Or if it is, then why? I thought that was the point of the morning improv, to have kind of a fail-safe environment to try out crazy ideas in, and figure out how...

I think it must say something that until you pointed this out, I wasn't even conscious that the lines were there while I was reading the comics.

For those complaining that the length is wearing out the humor, I would humbly suggest that part of that is because we are reading it in daily installments...those peering back at it will find it a barrel of laughs to flip through quickly.

Anyone remember the Bloom County where Opus got a job as a cartoonist, but didn't want to be called one because he found it demeaning - and insisted everyone refer to him as a "comic stripper"?

What about John Barber's work? He's a writer of online comics (some of which are on ModernTales.com) who primarily relies on static panels, but animates the transitions between them.

I don't know...
I actually suspect that Mr. McCloud has put a great deal of thought into the writing of this, but even if he hasn't, that doesn't necessarily invalidate our interpretations. Oscar Wilde once said, "Art reflects the audience, not the artist" and I think that remains the case - I think that all these ...

Whoa...
I totally interpreted this differently than everybody else. See, my first time through - I have no idea why, but in my mind the circle was male. And then, the story was somehow funny - the circle being a jerk, getting smacked, et cetera. When I heard from everyone else that it was female, I went thr...
