I really can't wait to see how large this thing is going to be. I notice that the loading screen is the same as Merlin's, so I wonder if he just took the file for, say, Externiality, and added in his own panels. They appear to be the same size? Which I think is fine. It's like using your friend's pi...

losttoy mentions something I totally forgot to... To do comics over the internet, or to even view them, it requires several things. First, it requires a computer. Second, an internet connection. If there is a charge to veiw the comics, then a credit card or bank account number is required. Knowledge...

Oh, and by he way, I'm sorry that i didn't see the similar but different strand, "to hell with print". This is more of an artistic wish pot, though?

Print versus Web

Alright? let's get into a debate. Despite the increasing quality and quantity of webcomics out there, do you still long for something you can put on your shelf and say, "This is a comic I own!"? I actually like both. If you were to visit e-sheep, you would see that most people want to see more conte...

Wow? that's a ton of helpful and (I hope) heartfelt input. I have a personal code that prevents me from just throwing crap onto a screen, and then expecting people to figure out how to load or navigate or view any part of the site. This is why i waited so long to even try. Anyway, I do have Dreamwea...

And, on April 2rd, 2004, the 27th artist added a comic to page 86. Cerebus's Dave Sim, using the title, "That Woman is In Denial About the 10-Foot Monster Living in her Basement". Uh-oh. His comic is a woman, coldly saying, "I'm? WHAT? ". Good stuff. Another thing about SPACE (Small Press Alternativ...

Um... I'm contemplating, since there will be three people in the same roon, whether we should do it all in the same room. The pros: We'll be together, so we can all listen to the iTunes and effect each others ideas, and instantly ask for critiques. The cons: We might distract each other. For instanc...

Another update, just to show how design classes can kill your sense of art. A single month later, there are: Twenty-six artists (we're running short on them, lately.) 220 comics and titles (90 of them mine, 72 of them Andy's, 15 of them Pat's, the rest by 23 other people?) 85 pages filled (to ...

24 Hour Comic Day!!!

Well, someone had to mention it. Me and my co-conspiritors, Andy B. and Pat B., will be making 1 24-hour comic each on Tuesday, March 23rd, midnight to midnight. Yeah, it's early, but we have a spring break to use up, and us college boys work on the weekends. SO, what does everyone think? Are you go...

ooo... thanks, people I don't even know! The fact that you would take time out of your day to talk (type, DAMN) at me is great. The moment I get some sort of connection and the software, i'll be sure to start putting up links. Um... if anyone wants to tell me how to do that, I'd appreiciate it, too....

I think some of us are reading into this waaaaay too much. I'm all for breaking open the author's skull and finding meaning in every little panel, but I think the meaning of a work of art (especially sequential art) isn't clear until the work is completed.

Maybe that was too serious in itself?

Anyway, update on the sketchbook, as of Feburary 16th, 2004: Twenty-six artists (or at least contributers, all are not really artists?) 186 comics and titles 67 pages filled and nine requests to get the damned thing published (which I don't really see happening, although some online exposure would b...

Here comes a fairly big idea, so forgive me. I think it would be possible to have a site where up to, say, 20 people could sign on to a single "book". (The number of books would, of course, be based on the total number of contributers to this site.) Each person, when they entered the site, would be ...

I learned a lot from the talk. As Scott spoke, a half-dozen ideas sprung into my head about the possibilities of the internet. Plus, it was absolutely hilarious. Plus, it took a lot of comic-oriented people and put them together in a single room! The turnout was nice! Here's to hoping that Scott mig...

Oh! I wasn't complaining! I just saw the look in their faces, the urge to leave, the passion that surrounded them like an aura of? HUNGER! Would I keep Scott (or anyone) from going home or to eat? No. This is cruelty. It was simply the manner it was conducted I thought was amusing. Really.

If you are offered money to sell something that you have worked on, eouldn't you sell it? To think that by not selling something that wants to be bought is "noble" or "the right thing to do" is dumb. Ideals are ideals, but in this world where everything costs *money*, I see nothing wrong with sellin...

I don't understand how they work. Do you roll a 4-sided die and move a marker to decide the next part of the story? Or is the creation of the story machine the "point" itself?

Wow. The talk at Ohio Sate was great. Very humorous, very informative. However, I will now give my take on: "What the hell were we rushed for?" Ha ha? sitting in the second row, me and my friend Tony (5 entries in the book) talked to two ladies who seemed very nice. Later on however, they seemed ver...

No one has mentioned the Smashing Pumpkins, and I am saddened.
