I'd have to disagree with just one point: The microwave White Castles have a 60 second halflife before the deflate and turn hard. There is NOTHING like the taste of 4 or 5 White Castle hamburgers after waiting in the drive-through line for 45 minutes. Get a sack of onion chips while you're there. Tim

One of his personalities will end up dating one of HER personalities.
Or, perhaps she IS one of his other personalites.
Or he one of HERS.
Quoting myself from page 2 of this thread. I kind of hope now that they are two people who can help eachother.

Perhaps she realized, the moment she let him go, that he was all she had left in the world and had an impulse to follow....

Or perhaps she's just standing up to do that Titanic "king of the world" thing.

I don't think anyone REALLY thinks there is a case here. I think we're all giving vent to a fear shared by all small creators. Namely, something we created will be stolen or co-opted by some huge media entity with really deep pockets and a legion of lawyers.

I liked the comic Will. My wife and I have a running Tupperware-as-youth-preserver joke.

Only one critique - The good ol' US of A will NEVER erect a wall that is a kilometer high. We'll never go metric man! ;)

I really liked the 4 panel treatment of yesterday's post. Dividing the background and linking the speech bubbles across the 4 panels. Nice.

That's the kind of layout I really need to work toward being able to visualize for my own work.

Thanks for the lesson Scott!

Interesting that this topic has brought so many anon posts. However, I must admit that I have been swayed by their eloquent arguments. I must now concur with their stated opinions and say

I rather enjoyed that comic. I think there is something to be said for his method of attacking the problem. Writing the story, then doing the art. The rambling stream-of-consciousness-type 24 hour comic has its charm, but a little bit of a structure is nice too. One thing I've noticed about 24 Hour ...

I guess re-reading my post I sound down. I'm not, I'm having fun. And being hard on myself is standard operating proceedure. I think most of us on this board have that in common.

Thanks for the kind comments.

You know that big, great American Web comic thing I keep claiming I'm working on? Well, I am. Slooooowwwlly. I was worried I would write (down) to my artistic abilities, so I made myself sit down and script the thing long script form (like a movie) before I start drawing it. I wanted to focus on the...

Scott denies this by claiming that art is free expression that springs from no survival or reproductive purpose. I argue that much of our great art sprung from just that. Wall murals / grafitti art created in some of the most depressing, hopeless places comes to mind. Art as a means of preserving s...

My post says "she". Either I wrote it that way in the first place and I don't know what you meant, or Greg edited the post and changed it to say "she" or ....

I don't know.

I get the feeling we are talking thousands of images here. Besides, linking doesn't really answer the "search" requirement. It would soon be a pain to maintain and fall apart. And you don't need actual thumbnail files, you could simply use the thumbnail view mode in Windows to display the directory ...
