Would you believe that not-making-comics inertia/ happiness has gotten a very tight grip on me over the last half year or so?

Well, you should, cuz it's true.

I got it bookmarked, if that helps.

The Gods of good taste disagree!

I'm just kidding. Since the "big names" are no longer polluting the company with their crap-fests, Image has ben putting out some good stuff.

Crap eventually gets recognized for what it is, as does quality. However, the rest of it's meaningless if you have any love for the medium at all. Genre and art tradition should not be a factor in regards to the quality of the work. I admit that it does matter to some, but quite honestly I see that ...

Take the fonts. The rest is a waste of time unless your plan is to make a comic that looks like everyone else's comic who's downloaded it. GIMP has a script that creates balloons for you that was pretty good. But you had to make it before you typed out the text. If your guess was off, you had to kil...

Excellent! Get her a couch, and a Playstation and you'll have the gamer of tomorrow, today. Actually, kids can be pretty cool at times. I teach one who dances for my amusement when he's in trouble. I don't know at what point he started doing it, but I came back from vacation and there he was, bounci...

Unfortunatey, the survey I posted up on a messageboard totally unrelated to comics or general geekery, seems to have met the cruel fate of the topic prune.... But her complaints were similar to the majority of the reasons people gave me for not reading webcomics. So it's something we need to take un...

I'll wait to see what others think, but it was pretty obvious from the article that an outsider came in, found webcomics lacking, and gave us a thumbs down. I'm doubtful that she's a minority because all of her meaningless-to-us complaints have been heard many times before. And it's not unreasonable...

Pretty Little Hatchet Job- NYT

So folks... what are we doing wrong that we arent winning these people over to webcomics?

I have my theories that you've heard from me a million times before, I'd like to hear others.

Hey William G. you want to help me out here? Would you like me to pass on the emails I've gotten from DJ Coffman? He's surpassed anyone I've run into on the web as far as willingness to take it to extremes is concerned*. He's like a buddha of abuse. We could all learn a lot from him. Really though,...

Well, my pencils are extremely dense, so when I try that, I wind up taking out a lot of the inking's line quality. I have found that brining down the B&W threshold level does help a great deal.

If I can ever get my hands on one of them blue pencils I'll see what I can do then.

Anyway, thanks!
