Decisions, decisions!

I feel hard pressed to decide what to vote for this round. I have to love the zaniness of "Monkey! Bat! Robot Hat!" but then again, we've seen both monkies and robots in improvs before. "My Curious Finger" is a great title. I guess I like it because it sounds kind of dirty. Wink, wink, nudge,...

The ending works for me. But that's not to say that there couldn't be room for another story exploring this idea futher. Ooh, you know, that's a nifty idea. So far each improv, once completed, has been locked away for good. It would be neat to use new titles every once in a while to revisit some of...

Whoop! Glory, glory!

Large portions of the Northeast lost power, not at all near where Scott makes his home. I like the way you put that, "makes his home," as if he wandered around the countryside, found a good spot, and conjured a house from the ether. Read about this and other exciting modern-day miracles in the Book...

I heard there was a big power outage somewhere in the US. Do the panels-in-progress have something to do with that?

What parts of the country went down? (I guess if I wasn't so lazy I could look it up right now...)

I rather thought so.

Yeah, I voted for "Nothing to do with Lemons." I'm intrigued by the thought of what clever thing Scott might do to make a comic that is about something (I mean it would be better if the title related in SOME way to the comic) and yet has nothing to do with it. Though I suppose a back door could be a...

Aww....

That was much less violent than I would have made it. I was expecting to see a more Wild Kingdom kind of end to Mr. "Dummyhead." Maybe a quick chomp, and then tossed up in the air to be positioned for the coup de grace. And then BITE! And down the gullet.

Birthdays and Meat Pies

Happy birthday to Winter, and what is the opening number from Sweeney Todd? Is that the one where everyone sings "the deeemon barber of FLEET! STREET!" I like the tune where that guy is singing about his "miracle elixir." "Did it fix 'er?" "Did it in a tick, sir." I saw that musical on PBS when I wa...

Well maybe this fellow is more benevolent--say the equivalent of the Japanese mythological Baku, a sorta anteater that devours people's nightmares.

Or maybe it is just a creepy clown-man up to no good. Maybe he eats people while they're asleep. Bum bum buuuuuuum!!!

Well here's what I think.

...However, Junk Bar is not an editorial to my knowledge. Of course, I have no idea what its purpose is at all. (Can anybody explain the comic to me, because I do not get it.) Oh but it is very editorial, my friend. Frank even spells it out for us. "We had RESPECT for our corporate masters in those...

You ask a silly question, you get...

Greg Stephens wrote:If a panel has one character in it, it's placed horizontally, but if there's two characters, then it's placed vertically. What happens when there are three characters in panel?

Answer me these questions... two.

This comic brings up a certain legal issue that I've been wondering about for a long time. Well a couple, actually. I'm hoping that, as a long-time comic veteran, Scott would know the answers, or maybe there's some lawyers out there. So what is the deal with appropriating logos and placing them in y...

Junk Bar

Maybe it's a little early yet to kick this off, but I just wanted to say already that the fourth panel just cracks me up. It's the expression on "Jimmy's" face, and the way he's fiendishly holding his bright yellow bag of M&Ms. It's the way that "Frank" is nursing his Snickers like an infant gumming...

Bloody brilliant.

The voting thing is a great idea! Not only does it provide another way for the readership to be involved, but actually having Scott choose a title each time seems less in line with the whole idea of doing improv anyway. And now Scott actually has less work to do since he no longer has to try and pic...

Re: KILL! KILL! KILL?

Again, I see the piercing of the circle as more symbolic of a broken heart. Weather the circle's heart was broken by mean spirited words, or violent actions, I can not say. The circle dies not from actual wounds, but of lonliness and regret. I think the points of gender and race are debatable, but ...

That's funny--the "Lincoln Thing" of which you speak (or rather of which you dare not speak) is the only print comic of yours I've actually read. (Aside from Understanding and Reinventing , OF COURSE.) Actually I thought it was pretty good until the end, at which point it was... mmm, not so good. In...

Wow, Monkey Town just went Taoist. That's a bit of a twist. 8) ... (That's a joke, son. Think yin-yang, if ya catch ma drift. I tell ya the boy's 'bout as smart as a bag o' hammers.) You know, although it's taken a while to get here, I must say if you read the comic from beginning to (close to) end ...

Viola. Now it can end.

See, giant robots. Did I not say there would be giant robots? ...Hey, you know what? I hope Monkey Town really is doomed. Maybe evil will prevail and the city will be destroyed. Or maybe they'll "save the day" only to find that the destruction wraught by the conflict has levelled Monkey Town anyway....
