"The tragedy is that pencil drawings never look quite as good once they've been civilized and transferred in ink onto the blank strip" Berke Breathed
Anybody using pencil for finished webcomic art? I was thinking the web might be ideal for pencil art, since the quality of printing isn't an issue.

You could try the Seeking Comics Artists/Writers forum. I suppose it would help if you had some stories you didn't mind putting online, so that you could link to them as samples of your work. Is there any chance you could try drawing them yourself? The "Writing up to the level..." thread's got some ...

I got a scanner with a CD with a bunch of software, including a program called ArcSoft PhotoBase. I am not sure if this program is also available for PC (since I am running on a Mac), but I really like it. yeah I'm pretty sure that it's available for PC because I think I used it once on a library c...

Resolution worries
I'm wondering what's the minimum resolution you can get away with working at on a comic if you hope to bring it out in book form. Could you get by at 450 pixels an inch in greyscale? 600 per inch would be ideal, but I don't think I can manage that without adding more memory, and I'd rather avoid the...

Bohemial rhapsody
Just to show the British aren't totally burned out: The Bohemials by James Roberts Alas, JR's a full-time student and his studies are forcing him to drop the strip indefinitely, but what he's done so far is funny and moody and beautiful. The earlier archives are in zipped form, but I find them well ...

Update: TKD's Manifestations is coming back with a new artist.

You want something done... TKD's still drawing Newshounds himself, and it's getting pretty interesting.

Here in the UK they showed it on public terrestrial television this Christmas. I think it might have been in the cinemas here earlier this year but I can't remember for certain. It's pretty early for a new film to reach the non-subscription small screen, in any case. I just hope that doesn't imply c...

i wonder if there is some way of having a reader browse the entire online comic but not actually have full access to it until they pay the micropayment.... Maybe if there was a system that allowed you a free view of, say, five pages from anywhere in the comic. I've absolutely no idea of whether tha...
