if you should ever change to a mac...
iphoto is quite nice, and then get an ipod, set your whole system up on the ipod harddrive instead of the computer and you have your whole system, including all your photos whereever you go with your music. (you can boot every mac from an ipod if you install macosx on the ipod harddrive.)

Re: Animation in comics. Surprised nobody's mentioned "When I Am King" yet. See limited animation in particular in this group of panels . completely forgot it actually has animation. i really like this one. prolly what it shows is, if the animation is so small you forget it after a while it works a...

hi leah, >do you prefer many frames on a page or have one frame at a time? following scotts definition of a comic, one picture per page works could be considered as comics or could be considered as something different. depends on the interpretation. generally speaking, i prefer to put multiple pictu...

The object was to fill every inch of the paper, and leave as little blank space as possible. I was experimenting with this sort of art a few months ago and put a couple my my site, here and here . I then made a comic using that style. I have used it like a story machine. Not to create a story, but ...

There is an obvious solution to this problem. Scott will have to clone himself. I'd say two or three clones per continent would be sufficent. yes i think, with two to three scotts per continent i'd be happy... but no, let's be serious... i just ask for the fair scott europe share... i think a leg w...

We can go in cicles about this forever, but I see it as a choice between pleasing the masses or pleasing ourselves. And it's not only about the interface- The geek webcomic market is saturated. We need to please the non-geek masses, because even though the masses dont give a crap about us, they're ...

I'm a little confused by you're statement about exams, Kaos. Are you saying the you had to take a test to be Emporer, or just to be a "civil servant". I've read about Chinese civil service exams before, but I always though the position of Emporer was hereditary. I also thought there was a landed ar...

hey beckerson, i think i could not disagree with zou more than i do. when the internet first appeared it was a great way to send messages fast around the world and to store data decentralised, so it's save in case of a strike from the soviets. and then they invented the web. and since then everyone ...

not sure if anyone mentioned
i think the most intresting part of the interface presented to us here, is not the nodes but jumping to the next frame by expanding the old one and adding something new in that way. i didn't describe this very well, but whoever read the comic knows what i mean.

Of course, the saddest thing is, despite the recent turn towards capitalism, the Chinese people, for the most part, are still living "under the whip." And obviously, they are still being brainwashed to hate America and the West. i think you should finally understand, that al of us are brainwashed i...

There's a country without a history of social cannibalism? Well, most contries have had their class struggles, this is true. However, Imperial China had a rigid class system with absolutley no upward mobility. without commenting on china's modern situation, for calssical china this is wrong. the ch...

of course we have been over this before
We've definitely been over this before. As good as all these ideas are, sometimes I'm afraid Scott gets pissed at everyone advising him, when he knows damn well what's worked. but i think scott listens. because this is the first time for him and for us to do this. remember the last vote where two p...
