My first time, as well. Quantum physics meets comics. My head is spinning...like that cube from "The Corbomite Maneuver". Wow.

If you had unlimited bandwith, and infinite time (and eternal patience) to work on it, that thing could go on forever.

Bear beats Scott.. Rock beats bear? Good one, Greg. Of course, it would have to be a pretty big rock. Scott inks paper? (Which actually suggests a "What Else Does Scott Understand?" illustration of a hardcore rapper named MC Loud) Which, of course, means now you have to do that! Don't forget to giv...

Personally, I'm still on dial-up. I think something like half the British home internet users still are (broadband was slow arriving here thanks to British Telecom's foot-dragging). Hey, there's a lot of foot dragging here in the good old USA, too. I live on the edge of New York City, and I had bee...

Gee, I'd put the Bear in a landslide. Bear beats Scott, then eats Scott. No contest. Something's fishy. Of course, the voting system is faulty. Nothing to stop someone from voting over and over again. I just voted for the Bear ten times in a row...and I don't even live in Chicago (I live in Bronx Co...

This reply will be really of no help, but my gut tells me vector color will be slightly smaller. Yeah, initially my gut told me the same thing, but I began thinking that might not necessarily be the case. Things ain't always quite what they seem in this topsy-turvey web world. So, will the black & ...

A Flash question - vector vs pixel

I'm thinking of making a Flash version of a comic that I posted up a year ago . I plan to add some visual F/X and the like. In order to do this, I'm going to split it into two plates or layers; a B&W layer, and a color one underneath. My question is this. While I plan to use a bitmap image for the B...

If there's a positive that's come out of Eisner's passing, it's that people seem to be starting to rediscover just what a genius he was. A buddy of mine got put in the "doghouse" by his wife, a week or so ago, for spending a chunk of change on those old Spirit magazines someone was selling on Ebay. ...

Why does 24 Hour Comic Day have to be scheduled for the weekend? Why not Wednesday and Thursday? Besides it seems like Illinois doesn't like comics, nowhere here is hosting the event . Anybody near Chicago know of a place that is unofficially hosting? I don't see New York on the list, either. Who t...

The Creator Of The Spirit Goes Up To The Spirit In The Sky. 'Tis a sad way to start the New Year. Eisner was a superior draftsman, but he was also one of the greatest storytellers in comics. He even wrote two books on the subject of comic storytelling, and panel layout. I own them both, and I highly...

Aw, come on, Greg. I'll be the first to admit, my grammer and spelling can be horrendous at times. I know the rules, but I always seem to forget them when I write or type. My typing is even worse. Elvis was the 50s version of Justin Timberlake. I seriously doubt anybody will be buying Justin Timberlake compilations 40 years from now. I'm an old school headbanger from the '80s - and damn proud of it. Me too! I seem to be one of the few headbangers where I live (and only female). Snazzy caricatures. They're more in the style of illustration, than comics, but I think most of them capture the essence of their subject.

Wow, you're the only person I know to tackle Nicholas Hammond. You certainly got down that cheesey costume they used on the lame Spidey live action series.
