could someone help my comixpedia entry?

Post by Phlip »

Someone finally tried to write one of my stories up here:

http://www.comixpedia.org/index.php/ZeekLand_PiglegToo

The entry is damagingly inaccurate, in ways that make me feel like John Seigenthaler.

I don't want to sign up to fix the entry because A> that's tacky, and B> I have too many web accounts and I'd rather communicate with comixpedia via rumor.

There's more than one issue per line in the tiny write-up someone gave me. (Now I know how _my_ targets feel when I spread disinformation about them!). To whit...

- they gave the story "Pigleg Too?" a banner as if it were a
webcomic, not a story within a webcomic

- the title is "Pigleg Too?" with the quotes, space and question mark

- the webcomic is ongoing. The story PT ends with a strip that
anyone who read the story through would understand is
obviously the end. In subsequent strips, "chorus" characters
talk about the story as if it has ending, and then introduce
a new story.

- the ratings miss the drug use

- the wiki is not "wikipedia-derived". Contrary to popular belief,
the first wiki out there was _not_ WikiPedia

- PT is a satire, not a parody, and it borrows "Winnie the Pooh".
it is not a legal parody (meaning I can't make money from it)
because it does not satirize Winnie the Pooh directly, it just steals

- It's divided into 10 weeks. Each has a friday cliffhanger, but
calling them "chapters" is misleading.

- the Wiki pages do indicate that ZeekLand is ongoing, and that
PT told its story and is finished

- the write-up is full of typos

And, per Comixpedia's enlightened stand on transcluding graphics, they took out on of mine, and left broken text around it.

I would be nearly indebted to anyone, however anonymously, who wanted to clean that mess up. Thanks!

I'm afraid that the old saying of "Getting something done right requires doing it yourself" is quite true at Comixpedia.org

But the reason they remove images is because they couldnt use them without violating some copyrights. They're voting on a brilliant policy created by a brilliant person that will allow them to include images. So they will be allowed eventually.

Hey! Isn't that picture of a baseball bat with its operator off copyrighted?
