Sure, I say she's NOT gonna jump, and of course Scott has her jump.
I'm on to you McCloud! It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!
What I don't get is why she empties the ashes, and THEN decides to jump. Why not kill two birds with one stone, and jump into the water while holding the bag of ashes?

Perhaps she realized, the moment she let him go, that he was all she had left in the world and had an impulse to follow....
Or perhaps she's just standing up to do that Titanic "king of the world" thing.

Or maybe she just feels like having a swim.
I wonder how deadly jumping off that bridge would be. Doesn't seem nearly as menacing as jumping off say the George Washington or the Golden Gate would be.

It's 4 personalities right now, I think at least 2 are going to walk away from that bridge together.

go for 28!
me i'm thinking (without any research to back me up...) that this here looks like the longest improv yet. Am I right?
Assuming I am, perhaps we may find an even bigger story than that amazing revelation (Pause for dramatic effect)... I think Mr. McCloud may be going FULL LENGTH on us! Me, to him, I say DO IT! DO IT! Make the damn story last all year, or til the end of summer, or something! College students will talk about if at least until the end of the century if you do! They'll be like "it was a singular moment in the evolution of sequential storytelling, pass the pipe." DO IT! DO ITTTT!
I need to go to the bars now. $2.00 microbrew pints and all.

Here's a wacky theory about the comic's title and the coincidences of our predictions: Maybe this Improv is Scott's way of letting a message board thread specifically influence his comic's content? Maybe "Whose Mind is it Anyway?" refers to our role in influencing Mad Doctor McCloud's choices as to where this goes?
Eh. Like I said, it's wacky.
I'm not taking any chances, though...
I predict Sophie's other personality is going to manifest and help Sean talk her down from the rail.

That's because Scott and I are both pinko commies and you're a warhawk, so naturally he's going to agree with me (just kidding, of course).Rip Tanion wrote:Sure, I say she's NOT gonna jump, and of course Scott has her jump.

Sort of like a choose your own adventure story where we don't know we're choosing the adventure?Chronosome wrote:Here's a wacky theory about the comic's title and the coincidences of our predictions: Maybe this Improv is Scott's way of letting a message board thread specifically influence his comic's content? Ooooh, boy, a fight! Two against two. A tag team match! I can just hear that Amok Time music playing in the backround. And now, the Lurpa!
Watch, she'll wind up tossing HIM off the bridge.
Achem, sorry 'bout that.

Well, actually, he's monitored the board before, and let our comments influence the Improv. Remember Brimley the Walrus? I do agree, however, that Dr. McCloud is MAD! MAD I SAY! HE MUST BE STOPPED!Chronosome wrote:Here's a wacky theory about the comic's title and the coincidences of our predictions: Maybe this Improv is Scott's way of letting a message board thread specifically influence his comic's content? $2? Are those Happy Hour prices? That's pretty cheap. I guess you don't live here in pricey New York. Of course, after my stint tending bar at Pedro's, I'll never drink tap beer again.ridl wrote:I need to go to the bars now. $2.00 microbrew pints and all.

Quoting myself from page 2 of this thread. I kind of hope now that they are two people who can help eachother. One of his personalities will end up dating one of HER personalities.
Or, perhaps she IS one of his other personalites.
Or he one of HERS.

Re: My mind
I keep thinking that too. From Page 8:GlenSS wrote:But you've all missed the point. She can't jump because it's his mind too! That's right - he doesn't exist!?
Rule Number one: nobody talks about Fight Club
That's why Sean says "I don't care what you'd rathah- you don't GET that choice!!" They're both some sort of personality in someone elses mind. A little like Fight Club, but more like Identity.efm wrote:I just had a thought. What if the man and woman are the same person. Kinda like split-personas with split-personalities.
I agree. That wasn't very nice, even if she doesn't actually exist in this reality.
Hm...now I'm wondering if others here also have a tendency to think of their characters as "real" people with complex personalities and feelings, and thus would also take insult when someone insults their characters, etc.

I think that if someone were to insult a character you made that was intended to be sympathetic, you'd be offended because it would be like someone insulting your skills as a writer.Veleno wrote:Hm...now I'm wondering if others here also have a tendency to think of their characters as "real" people with complex personalities and feelings, and thus would also take insult when someone insults their characters, etc.
Personally, I dont see my characters as real, but I do try to give them some sort of blush of reality.
Sort of like how zombies look like people, but arent really people.
My apologies. It was a cruel thing to say, and I probably shouldn't have said it. I'm just a cruel person.
No, they'll read it together, slowly because they aren't the sort to read often, and at the end, she'll feel much better and have a friend. They'll both be homeless still, but all you need is love, right?

Could it be he's a psychic psycho? Or could be that....Tim Mallos wrote:Whoa-oh. Here it comes gang! How did YOU know that?
If he is a figment of her imagination then why did this Impov begin with him finding her, instead of the other way around?
Well, then she should do it the Roman way, i.e. slitting her wrists in a bathtub.gareis wrote:When she finishes, then she can kill herself, right? Read quickly, Sophie
