A young reader would only show interest in a book if it is visually appealing. Books that are bloated with text do not appeal to them. The case with an elder book is different, as their books would suffice without drawings or images. You can use an illustration on the cover of the image and they would not mind it but a child would. That is why I believe that many are clouded by the misconception that a book for children is easy to write. You do not only have to write it but need relevant illustrations for it as well. The notion of acquiring illustrations is not elusive as you can collaborate with children’s book illustrators and in turn get compelling illustrations for your book.
