OK, starting here, I've updated the archive with the Scott Understands images so far. I am missing two, but there's a good chance that they're not missing, and that I simply neglected to upload them. With all the images named with variations of "scott" and "understands," it's easy to lose track of them.

I also haven't noted the creators of the images yet, but I'll get to that when I can.

In total, there are 65 of these so far!

OK, there- Credit where it's due has been entered. If I've made a typo (and it's extremely likely!), please let me know and I'll fix it. Likewise if I've credited you or titled your image in some way that you would like changed, let me know.

Unfortunately, I do seem to have lost track of the two images I was missing so I've marked the entries to not display in the archive. I'll email Ghastly and see if he can send me his image again. Unfortunately, I think we've lost William's "Fifth Dimension" image, since he no longer has the original, but maybe he'd like to recreate it?

On another front, Google points to the proper fourm thread (this one!) if you search for Scott Understands. It points to the archive if you search for Scott McCloud Understands and will get you back to the forum again if you search for Understanding Scott McCloud (below Scott's own site and Amazon, naturally). It doesn't get you anywhere, though, if you search for my own made-up word, Understandathon, so I think we should Google-bomb it. If enough people use this link: http://www.zwol.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1380 as a hyperlink for the word "Understandathon," (Thusly: Understandathon) then we'll have helped to change the shape of ... Well, of something. Good luck out there!
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

Oh, and speaking of "credit where it's due," let's remember that this entire crazy exercise got kicked off by Eric Myers with his <a href="http://www.zwol.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... erstanding Root Beer" image</a> way back at the beginning of this thread. I know it's there for all to see, but it's worth mentioning again.

I was at Fiddler's Green (the Sandman convention). All it took to organize that was a international team of dangerously crazed individuals. So if you really think Scott needs his own convention, start organizing it. Figure out who the other guests of honor are; make it exclusive by limiting it to the first 500 people; figure out how to make shirts that stay a perfect checkerboard when you move...

For a number of reasons, I would rather there not be McCloud convention. Though I appreciate the thought.

As for the book. Still thinking online is best for the reasons cited above.

When I was drawing Nouveau Chemin David had a scene that took place in a pub. I needed a name and I almost called it "McCloud's," but Greg talked me out of it. I had the logo made out and everything. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I colored it and made a post. After Greg told everyone to make their own I made another one to support my first. So you see, if it wasn't for everyone else I would just be some lone nut posting crazy pictures. Thanks you, everyone, for going along with all this craziness.

That's great, but I'm too lazy to start anything like that. Besides, I was just joking. :D

I do like the online gallery, Greg is doing a great job!

you can see it on http://www.flightcomics.com/flight/flig ... _500_c.gif
