I'm excited. It wasn't that long ago that the phrase, "we should go do the Black Temple" if uttered at all, would be followed by "yuk, yuk." Saturday, though, after we were done re-learning the Void Reaver battle (they made one itty bitty but very significant change in the last patch) and proving that we still have what it takes to one-shot the Astromancer, when Chutz said, "we should go do the Black Temple" nobody laughed.

I'm really impressed by the progression of the guild teamwork; though I've been too busy with work and school to participate much for the past few months I've seen the remarkable strides that have been made.

Incidentally, for anybody who thinks the Grand Poobah of instances might be a grandiose place to enter...it's not. You get into the Black Temple through the Black Sewers, and they're very...sewery.

Also, for anybody who thinks the trash in the Grand Poobah of instances might be straightforward...it's not. We wiped a few times on the first pull; go figure.

On the other hand, it's not as scary as it seemed several months ago. We gave up after wiping several times on the first boss, true, but it's definitely learnable. It just takes healz. Lots and lots and lots of healz. Unlike other bosses, where there's a lot of running around activity going on, the High Warlord Naj'killus battle is just stand there shooting, hoping you survive all the frost damage, occasionally pulling an ice shard out of your buddy's chest.

We can do it!

Man, I'm sorry I missed it! I haven't signed up for this week's raids (or won't for the next couple weeks) because sadly I'm in Germany once again where start times are tough for me to meet. That being said, I still hope to log on a bit later to see if extra healing is required.
