Hi, I'm new here. I'll just qoute off my drawing from the "Varicolored Self Portraits" entry.

Bebop, USA
Reznorlite@aol.com
http://bluesummers.net/trash/

I go by the name of Bebop. Needless to say I am influence of some anime style art. My favorite band is Nine Inch Nails, what would I do without good ol' Trent Reznor. I'm 18, also a loser that doesn't have a drivers license and a job. Nuff said. =]

Varicolored Self Portraits

Post by karrey »

Hi, thanks for inviting me, Spider. :D

------------------------------------------------
My name is Karin Rindevall, and I live in Sweden. I am 16 years old, and I will probably study Animation next year. My dream is to become a real artist, animator or author/writer.
Well, I am an amateur artist who run a homepage with my personal art, just for fun this far. And I am, just like Bebop, influenced by the anime style. ^^; Me and my blue coffee cup are one together!~ XD

Thank you. :)

Indeed. I as well was invited here. (Well, everyone else probably was too...) Anyways, a little about myself. My name is Trevor LeBlond, I am 17 years o;d, I live in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. When I go into University (next year) I'm hoping to get into advertising art, which is what they renamed graphic design. I don't have anything right now, because my scanner is offline. But soon! Soon!!!!

hey all

Post by Don »

Hi everyone. I was asked to submit a pic ot the portraits jam and so I did! Man, there are a lot of really good pics there.

What can I say..... hmmm, I'm an aspiring comics artist from Canada, hoping to "break in" I suppose... I love to draw (when it's working) though I'm really inexperienced with colouring. I like action comics; super-heroes, sci-fi, whatever.

My pic is sortof a portrait. I'm really bored drawing myself. So I decided to have a bit of fun with it. But it's still "me" in a way. I had a lot of fun drawing it anyway.

I hope there's some activity on this board. If not, tell me where to go and I'm there. Holy is this ever a cool msg board! I was trying out the features and I love all the controls & keyboard shortcuts like for creating image links! And the mouseover instructions. I've never seen that before. This is like the best message board I've seem as far as options! Cool.

Welcome Cyberhell!

A very dark & moody portrait. Cool, I like it. Very bleak but I think we've all been there.

Hey CyberHell, Thanks for coming to the jam ;)
Nice work you did, I loved it. Very cool!!

Sorry folks that I didn't update it earlier to my site. Going to do that soon. I'm currently busy with my examination, so I'm not able to come in as often.
But don't worry, I'll be able to swing into action again in May after my exams! ;)

ps: Don, Thanks for coming to the forum too :) Do drop by whenever you are free and give us some comments ;)

For the new century

Post by Ning »

Hey all, hey spider. I wanted to finish this thing sooner, seeing as how I'm a slacking procrastinator, took my sweet time. And concerning me, I like robots and good laughs. Or even both at the same time.

Now let's see if this thing works

Visit my comic, that I do all by myself, http://wonton.keenspace.com . I haven't updated it in a while. :)

hello

Post by Bryne »

Hey, I got an email from spiderweb about a month ago, so this is really horrendously late. I hope you're still updating!
I'm a part-time art student from New York, I do some freelance illustration on the side. I've been influenced by a lot of American and Japanese comic artists, but I think illustration is what I'd like to do with the rest of my life. Birds are not normally this attracted to me. :P

I really have loved all the art that's been posted here so far. Many of you are very very talented *_* Thank you for inviting me :)

OK, let's call this one sort-of-done as well. It was pretty successful- espeically after Spiderweb changed topics to self-portraits- and I hope that it was able to serve its purpose for your class. I'll leave the thread open in case anybody still wants to participate.
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

I almost feel silly for putting this up now, when the thread seems to have been dormant for some time, but when most people were posting their respective portraits it hadn't yet entered my mind to do much more than read webcomics. The idea of trying one myself has been pretty recent, and now that I've gotten started I'm really enjoying being part of teh community and contributing to things like this. I hope other people will contribute as well, and help to keep this thread alive.

Well, here goes:
