Since it's been a while since I posted a new comic, I've decided to start posting illustrations from my sketchbook. Stop by and let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Randy

What a great idea! I did the same thing a couple of months ago.

I love looking at sketchbooks. I think it really shows what makes an artist tick. They are something you do for yourself and not an audience. Looking forward to seeing more.

I agree with the two Randys that this is a good idea. I've been planning to do it as well, and may yet do so.

I just updating the Sketch-A-Day so that when you click the image you can see it in more detail. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I found some Ep II images and I thought that I would post something interesting here.

PS: In the event that Lucasfilm would like to take up arms, I, Randy Oest, posted this image and take sole blame.

I've changed the layout to the Sketch-A-Day so that all the sketches will be accessible. I hope you are enjoying them!

Randy!

Agree with you in the improved layout- keeps the load time down on the main sketch page.

I'm going to refine it a bit further, but I wanted people to have access to all the sketches. For my next trick I'm going to add the comments back with the images. I know that I like to read the artist's opinions on their own work, so I'm going to provide that for people who visit my sketch page.

I really like today's image (sorry, not the framed page- can't directly link to frames!), maybe because it reminds me of stuff I draw.

And "The House of Yes" is a wonderfully demented little movie.

Glad that you liked it Greg! I try to keep my sketchbook diverse. You should see the stuff that doesn't get posted. It's out there!

Thanks,
Randy
