I stole one of Scott's ideas...

Okay, since somebody was kind enough to review my web-comic when I am getting started, I will do the same.

Zero Everyday Comics is interesting, but I must admit it is not something I would bookmark. I will review the two comics you currently have posted, "I'm Not Your Dolly" and "Seife".

I like "I'm Not Your Dolly" so far. It has a good story, the kind that is not told very often in comics. The art is desent enough, although I am not sure it is the style that I enjoy. I can appresiate it and know that you are just starting and have room to grow. I like the digbats, however it is not always deserable which letter it is. I would be curious to see if you expanded your canvas from panel to page how the art itself could expand. The problem I have with this story is that it seems to lack focus. I like abstract comics, but it seems to be a bit too abstract for my taste.

"Seife" seems to have the same problem. It seems like a good story, but fails to communicate the full message. The art was cool and I actualy perfer it over the art in "I'm Not Your Dolly". If you are going to do people in an abstract environment, the characters work better in the same style.

My high school art teacher used to say this to me when I showed her my art for review, "good start." I used to hate it when she said it because the piece was completed. I realize now that she was not talking about the piece itself, but my abilities. Over time the more art I did, the more I improved. Of course, as I am now 25, I work hard on a new media with my own web-comic and hear those same words from a ghost of my teacher. How about I use different words instead ... "keep up the good work."

Would you please explain to me what you mean by "abstract"?
