For the record, I hadn't seen today's panels when I posted the above. Now, it's a bit less Pratt-ish.

Hope she's got some pepper-spray in that bag.

OK, the second ballon in that panel "Homer" posted up is pointing to the sack (or whatever that is) in the shopping-cart, so I guess we can assume he is talking someone inside it. Now is that someone real, or imaginary?

Is it magic...or delusion?

Had forgotten about the three day weekend. One more day to be stupid.

From Dictionary.com:

chif?fo?robe
n. Chiefly Southern U.S.
A tall piece of furniture typically having drawers on one side and space for hanging clothes on the other.

Being from the south, shouldn't you have known that? :D

I want to chime in here and agree that your message was great, very funny, and a perfect antidote to some of the too intrense (for my taste) political debate that has sprung up regarding certain other recent MIs.

I agree. That first post was a real masterpiece.

Of course, let anyone wonder, I did mean it in this panel:

Then again when you ass/u/me...

I still think there's something more than empty cans in the bag.

Oh, sure, encourage me. I'll only do it again.

Scott, there's a tenderness to your protagonist here that I notice in many of your characters. Just wanted to say how I like it.

And because I'm constantly comparing: Your characterization reminds me of Jason Lutes or even Craig Thompson.

And on an unrelated note, it's very cool that you and Neil Gaiman get along. Two literary heroes...and I've finally bought books from both of you rather than freeload at the library...

Page one, last panel: Our hero mutters "Geeze Louis..." Now, is this A)A spelling error for "Geeze Louise..."; B) Our hero's accented version for the same; C) The name of his other personality (or one of his other personalities, depending on how many there are); or D) Some combination of the first three options?
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

I would say that the Dunkin' Donuts bag on the bench clearly places the action in Boston Common over Central Park - there being an individual Dunkin' Donuts store for every man, woman and child in the Boston metropolitan area.

Nah, that ain't much of a clue. Plenty of DDs here in New York, too (I live three blocks from one). In fact, there ain't a place on this planet you can go anymore, without finding a Dunkin Donuts. The story could be set in Seoul, if that were the case.

The girl's accent is equally puzzling. Sound like she's doing a Dan Duryea impression (at least it does in my head...but that's another bucket full of kittens)

Omit flowez, pleez.

Buildings in the backgrond, Hancock on the left, Pru on the right. Could be the on the common, maybe Comm Ave. The old Hancock weather light is missing, though, so maybe I'm wrong.

One of his personalities will end up dating one of HER personalities.
Or, perhaps she IS one of his other personalites.
Or he one of HERS.

Casting a wide net.

OK, I submitt, we're in Boston. Makes sense. I've only been to Boston twice, and on the Common only once - over a dozen years ago; it was night, and we were all drunk. I remember a big lit up clock tower. Is that the Hancock building? I suspect the girl is an "Honor-Roll hippie" from New York, attending a Liberal college in Boston. Either that, or she's undercover with the CIA; and she about to kidnap him, and place a mind-control chip in his brain.

I live in Denver, with nary a Dunkin' Donuts for miles and miles and miles. And though there may be quite a few in NYC, there's one on pretty much every corner in Boston.

Nah, I think you're thinking of the Customs House Clock. The Hancock
is the big glass monster with the frames of glass falling on the pedestrians
below.

Or "retrieve" the mind-control chip. Maybe that's what he's talking to?

Boston? I would agree with Pisssa.

No Dunkin Donuts in this neck of the woods, either. Can't say I miss 'em any, though.
