Well you keep "collaborating" and selling yourself short, and I'll keep getting paid.

I have no doubt anyone on this forum or anyone in the indie scene across the world would pay an artist those prices per page, let alone that quality. I doubt Jim Lee gets paid those prices. Im glad you think highly of yourself, and you should, im just trying to be realistic.
$1000 per page, thats over $20000 for a book that might never get published or make a single sale.
Either way, at those prices you shouldnt be marketing yourself on indie forums, such as this one, you are wasting your time.
Good Luck

You call that a discount? I know people, talented people who can get things working at around $10 a page. Try contacting the uk superior papers review if you're really eager because they can surely help you out.

Interesting topic,

For sure there are comic book professionals that charge $1000 a page.
but I thinking of big names, like Quitely, Adlard, McNiven..those guys.

The indie market is certainly not the place for that kind of numbers.

much less this semi-retired forum.

in any case, supply and demand, with the huge amount of talent out there and cheaper prices is a matter of time before our friend Morbid realizes that the price is too damn high.

cheers!

Is there any way for moderators to remove this topic thread? It's really unprofessional to see so much barging in and disparaging remarks. Certainly we don't see anybody insulting and casting doubt on the pricing of people like the "I'll draw your whole comic for 800 bucks" guy and all the rest.

Good work!!

I think it's a lot worse the ones that charge very cheap. Besides devaluing your own work, it also devalues all the artists here. That's why someone always wants to get some unpaid drawings.
Very good, your work, my friend.

:D there's a reason no one is "insulting and casting doubt" with me.
I started doing comics for free, then $100 then $200, today is $800 in a couple of months maybe will be a $1000? who knows.

here's a little something from Y'all

Why are those people on reddit protesting so much? Honestly, each of them need to look in the mirror and ask why that pushes a hot button for them.

To them I say:
Why such hostility to an artist who thinks highly enough of his work that he should be making fifty or sixty or seventy-five bucks an hour? Why do you view that as some kind of crime and view that as something to try and shut down? Something to ridicule?

The flaw is in you, not me.
