Maximilian Leibman, who posts here regularly, has started up the Sequential Art Jam again and it is at the SubAtomic Cafe (www.subatomiccafe.com).

The SAJ is a weekly commentary on comics. I plan to expose it as much as possible. (That sounded a little too dirty I think.)

A new Sequential Art Jam is now up at SubAtomic Cafe. The title is, "The Comics Engine," and it deals with various devices (such as randomizing elements and reader-guided comics) that can take comics creators (and readers) down unusual paths.

Also, a general note about SAJ -- the topics will always relate to those discussed in the Reinventing Comics Forum, and SubAtomic Cafe doesn't yet have its own forum, so I'd love to see them discussed here (unless Greg, for some reason, feels that's not kosher).

I haven't added a forum yet because I'm nervous about using the ezboard and because I do not know how to code my own yet. If anyone can point me the direction to a good book, or web site I would start looking into building one. Or if someone has free time (what's that?) and would like to construct one for the SubAtomic Cafe that would be great.

On a side note, to Greg, what happened to the Adventures of Kate? Are you going to post the one that I sent? You could start a fan art section.

Later,
Randy

I'm still working on that idea. I'm at a very low creative ebb right now, and so I've decided that new projects should take a back seat to current projects. *sigh* And so it goes...

I've been reluctant to go flashing this particular piece about as it is neither 'comics' in a 'deadtree sequential' kind of a way, nor comics in a 'words-don't matter' kind of a way.

Nevertheless, I think it is relevant to a couple of discussions floating around, so here it is.

NOTE: It's in Flash, and you'll need to give it about 500kb of time to load.
