Every time I see "Emprah" I think of Oprah in a toga.

So, who would we cast in a "Whose Mind Is It Anyway" movie? It seems like this would translate really well into flickness.

I'm thinking Dennis Leary* as Sean and Carol Kane as Sophie.

*not Miller.

During her childhood, Suzanne Vega once had a girl walk up to her ready to fight and say, "Sally sez you called me a hora". Vega was confused and the girl decided Sally was a liar and left.

Much later, Vega realized that if the girl had said "ho", then she would have understood the question, and gotten beat up.

I notice the background has gotten darker. a nice touch.

which got me thinking... using background effects isn't considered much in webcomics. you put your Jpegs and Gifs on a page, get a tiled wallpaper that doesn't clash with the colors, and that's it. you can't do a whole lot with a background, but you can add in subtle effects. I remember a few Leisuretown comics that used backgrounds in interesting ways, such as sound effects. ah well I'm rambling here.

really nit-picky detail time!

this panel on page 6 needs a left border

just noticed that now. oh wait, spotted another one...

the bottom of page 7, where the word balloons are connected between the panels (second line from bottom), the first panel needs to be a pixel wider. right now it leaves a tiny gap between it and the connecting "bridge." really small, but it's noticable.

How would you guys like to see this end? Tomorrow morning, Sean knocking on the door and Sophie answering? Shall they stroll off into the sunset pushing one shopping cart between them? Sit down in the park and start reading? Shall we list a bunch and then demand that Scott McCloud surprise us with something we haven't mentioned just to cramp his creativity?

I suddenly remember a legal case I read about a while back where a guy with multiple personality disorder was charged with raping a girl with multiple personality disorder, and his defense was that they each had one personality consenting at the time . . .

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed, as well.

The person in the red jacket is walking in the street though. He could get hit by a car. Then again, I don't see any cars in the street. 'S'matta, nobody drives in Boston when it starts to snow?

Me, I never cross the street when I see some crazy homless guy. I just walk right past them. Don't bother me none. No whacked-out vagrant muttering to himself is going to make me alter my course. In my town, I'd have to cross the street every other minute, if that was the case. Plus, I might get run over, especially the way the cabbies drive.

Speaking of Boston, the war begins tomorrow night at Fenway. Prime time, national TV, baby. Turn down the sound so you don't have to hear Tim McCarver prattle on like a moron. 1918!

at first I thought the ending was abrupt, but I went back and read the whole thing from the beginning and realized it wasn't as long as I thought. so I changed my mind and I think the ending works pretty well.

a really charming and well done comic. it's the kind of story where if Scott ever decides to print it on paper and sell it, I'd buy a copy. if not, I'll just have to throw more pennies at the next round of MI title voting! :)
