What is this type of comic art style called?

Post by Pumpkin Pie »

I see this a lot in comics these day. I'm wondering what it is called. In the comic page in the following link, it is clearly shown in the middle panel on the left side where the woman is being shoved away by the she-devil. WARNING: this link has (*gasp*) penciled nudity.

This is part of the PAWN webcomic. Here's its homepage if you care to read the three parts already put out. http://www.pawn.se/index.html

So, what is that style of comic drawing called? It's where the artist greatly simplifies down and makes child like adult characters in usually ways to show humor and/or emotion. Is there a name for this technique? Anyone have a link to a webpage that discusses it?

It is called "Chibi" or "Super-deformed" (although the first panel here or the middle panel here are probably better examples of the style, in that the characters there are really different than normal).
