Wow- this is some interesting stuff here. I notice a decided lack of traditional narrative, but I think this is a good thing.

Yes Greg, and I think that by providing little or minimal narrations, viewers are able to develop an utterly personal definition of each of the panel and subconsciously form their own definitions and story plot.
I actually find myself trying to do that

Spiderweb,

For animation, I'm using Animation Shop as well. I like it. It's easy. I find that programs with too many features just confuse me.

Chris, yes I agree with you that Animation Shop is fairly easy to use, especially with the animation wizard. But there are limited effects that can be used to animate an image.
are you interested to try doing another animated gifs for the second jam on dreams?

PostPosted: Tue Apr 09, 2002 8:12 am    Post subject: "Varicolored Self Portraits" Reply with quote

I thought of something fun to do for the next 10-panel jam!

In this jam, draw a portrait of yourself and provide some description about yourself.

I thought of doing this jam because through the Internet, we are constantly spending time communicating and interacting with each other, participating in jams, forums, chatroom and projects. Yet, most of us have probably not even met each other! So this jam is dedicated to all of us here, sharing with everyone more about ourselves

Your portrait can be animated, serious, comical... anything that reflects you, your personalities, interests and life styles.
It doesn't need to be real-life drawing, it can be abstract drawing, digital photos or even objects that you think reflects you.

Don't worry about which Word Of The Day to use, because this time, I've already chosen a word from Word of The Day to name this jam So for this theme, you don't have to draw based on a certain word

The name of this jam is "Varicolored Self Portraits".

varicolored \VER-ih-kuh-lurd\, adjective:
Having a variety of colors; of various colors.

Hope all of you can spare some time to take part in this jam

ps: Dreams and Fantasies Jam is still open to everyone, I'm still very much looking forward to see new panels!

Have a good day!

Spiderweb,

I'll probably pass on the dreams jam. I rarely ever remember my dreams, so it's not a part of my psyche I'm particularly in touch with. Besides, I've got another project I trying to get moving on. I may do self protrait thing, though.
