Maybe I just don't like monkeys and was making some idle chit chat to pass time.. (Yes, it's frightning, but possible) And such dislike for monkeys has made it seem like it's dragged on.

Well, look for this conclusion of the Fantastic Four in the ape-style of the author, Leo Ortolani.

Okay, maybe this is an inane comment, but Monkeysaur?

...Scott, that's pure genius.

The only thing this comic's missing is some giant robots. (Monkey-shaped giant robots, of course.)

Giant robots or maybe some Kung Fu Monkeys.

But how will the Monkeyteam defend justice--and still return the haplessly mutated innocent monkey civilians to normal, so they can all go about their monkey business?

Where's Heston?

Post by Rip Tanion »

I'm still waiting for Charlton Heston to make an appearance.

He could be the last monkey in Monkey Town who still has a mind of his own...Omega Monkey!

Or he could be Monkey Moses, delivering the monkeys from the bondage of mind control..."Let My Monkeys Go!"

I've gotta disagree with our anonymous poster. The word monkey is a barrel of laughs (as opposed to a barrel of monkeys). I remember years ago, Howard Stern would play this little clip he had recorded everytime his producer, the ape-like Gary "Bababooey" Dell'Abate, would walk into the studio. It was an old Italian instramental piece, with Billy West dubbed over, going "Monkey, monkey, monkey". I still crack up when I hear it. Ok, so you had to be there.

Please not the robotic Abe Lincoln! I remember going out west to Disneyland when I was seven years old; and going into the Hall of Presidents. That robotic Lincoln gave me nightmares.

Col. Green: Now, can you impersonate Lincoln?
Kahless: Help me, Kirk!
Col. Green: Now, can you do Cagney?

For those complaining that the length is wearing out the humor, I would humbly suggest that part of that is because we are reading it in daily installments...those peering back at it will find it a barrel of laughs to flip through quickly.

Scott, I gotta ask - was "flaming tail monkey" inspired by the Hindu god Hanuman?

Naw. I was probably thinking of Charmander (sp?), the Pokemon with the flaming tail.

They've changed that exhibit y'know. Now the sound is produced with headphones and includes a visit to get your picture taken at Matthew Bradey's studio. There's a hair-cutting scenes that gives the audience chills. Our friends and we call it "Mr. Lincoln Blows in Your Ear."

Scott said the "flaming tail monkey" was inspired by a Pokemon - isn't this whole series inspired by pokemon? The style, the super powers - 90% of the strip so far has been introducing new characters, I'm sure if Scott didn't have too much of a sense of irony he could have a Saturday morning cartoon on his hands with unbelievable merchandising revenue - sort of like, well, Pokemon. I only wonder how (or if) he will keep this improv from spinning out of control - there are what, six billion pokemon at this point - right now there are 11 Monkeyteamsters and 11 foes, plus the one archvillan, but why stop there 8) .

Flaming Tail Monkey... brought to you by the good folks at Nike

Sure, Flaming Tail Monkey is only a Monkey Team Reinforcement*, but he's the only one who was smart enough to sell the Uniform Rights to a shoe manufacturer!

So...

Am I the only one who wishes there was a "Zoo Monkey" with the "Poo Flinging Attack?"

I thought so.

Well, I haven't been there in 25 years, so I'm sure they've changed it a lot. Of, course, when I went, Carter was still pres., so obviously there was no robotic Reagan yet. HE'S gotta be frightening to little kids.

With Chimpy Chase, and Bill Monkey as the assistant groundskeeper?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

One of my favorite super heroes is Iron Man, so I'm thrilled to see Iron Monkey. Plus I've thought for a while now that Iron Monkey is the perfect name for a movie.

Aah, you must be thinking of the "Hall of Presidents," which I believe is a DisneyWORLD exhibit only. (Disneyland is the California park, Disneyworld is the one in Orlando.) Ivy's in love with the robot Andrew Jackson.

Hmmm. Well we definatley were at DisneyLAND in California, and I've never been to Florida. I could have sworn I saw robotic presidents. I was only seven at the time, so, maybe, my memory is foggy. I do know for certain I saw animatronic something or other. Maybe it wasn't presidents, but they WERE robots.

Now, which Disney park has the animatronic monkeys.
