Alas, I'm being whisked away this weekend (starting Friday night in fact) for various goings-on in Gaiman Country, so I wouldn't be able to participate. I may come back on Sunday, but it would be to work on changes in the class for the second week, so I'd just be a hermit.

On the other hand, we will all be there for Neil's Saturday signing at Dreamhaven (on Lake street, not far at all from campus), so perhaps everybody could make a pilgrimmage...

The REAL Gaiman! Do you know if he'll be around any during the 2nd week class? Not to sound like a tool and a fanboy :D

Sorry, no plans that I know of for any other Gaiman sightings.

Darn. Turns out I have to work one day of the weekend, and since it's a six hour trip up there, I can't justify coming up for one day. Perhaps 'next time'.

I'll have to e-mail my Mpls friends and make sure they know about the Gaiman thing. Some of them probably know of Scott too, so they might come out.

im on campus... ... its the 21st and im fully psyched to go to scott's class tomorow. i stumbled across this computer lab in the main building here on campus... ... ... .. just wandering around.

i went out shopping.. didnt get mugged... ... bought some frozen pizzas at a sketchy little grocery store thing.

and im in room 7? on campus... im not sure how many dorm buildings there are around campus... but... im in room 7 if anyone wants to drop by and have some cheese pizza... im going to watch night of the living dead on my laptop and just draw some comics tonight. the room 7 im in is... up this little thing of stairs? ... and the door has a knocker? i dont know if that helps. so... drop on by if you read this and your just doin nothin on this wonderful sunday night like i am.

Hey man!

I'm pretty sure you are in room 7 of building 2537 Stevens Ave South located on the South East corner of campus. (See http://www.mcad.edu/studentLife/housing/rb.htm then select Apartment Maps and Photo link for a campus map of sorts.)

Odds are, everyone else from out of town taking the class who is staying on campus is also in that building.

You could probably go to the security desk and ask them where other people who are just in for the week are staying in your building and just and knock on some doors. Or wait for class!

There is a pool table in the 2nd floor cafeteria area (just off of the back stairs) Also vending machines there.

If, for any reason, you need a Mac with a floppy drive, there are some older Power PC's in the library which, along with the campus book store, is located in Morrison hall. That's the big white building that is connected to the main MCAD building by a skywalk on the 2nd floor. Hours for both are 9-5 M-F.

However, you have 24/7 access to the main MCAD building for email etc. They buzz you in after, I think, 8pm.

Ok, enough unsolicited help. Have a great week!

Yeah, was there much difference between the two?

Which was your favorite one, Scott? Is that like asking which is your favorite child? :D
