...and it looks like no one here <a href="http://www.spxpo.com/anthology.htm">made the cut</a>. (At least I didn't see any <a href="http://www.zwol.org/old/ezboard/fzwolfr ... ">familiar names</a>. Did you make it?)
I'm a little bummed, personally, but, on the bright side, at least now we get to see each other's submissions <b>before</b> the expo. (Remember, <a href="http://www.subatomiccafe.com/">Randy</a>'s said he'd be happy to host any of them if you're looking for space to upload it to.)
I'll probably post mine in a week or so, when my main computer gets here (just finished moving). If you put yours up, drop a link to this topic so we can all check it out...

I was considering reformatting my pages into an Infinite Canvas-like format for submission to Randy's SubAtomic Cafe, but I'm open to other ideas as well. There's no reason that any given story couldn't exist in multiple formats anyhow- a 72dpi IC-style online format and a higher-resolution dead-tree capable format.
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

As promised, here's the submission that didn't make the cut:
<a href="http://huah.net/jason/comics/expo/">htt ... s/expo/</a>
I'm still game for putting it in an alternative alternative press anthology, though...
Any feedback or tips would be much appreciated.

Announcing the Alternative Alternative Press Expo book!
If you did not make the cut, or even if you did, then this is the solution for you. I would like to compile all of the entries into our own book.
What I need from you are the pages as images sent to oestii@mac.com. What I am going to do with them is assemble them into a PDF file and send a copy of the PDF file to everyone involved. (The file will be sent both Hi-res and Low-res.)
Also note that if you would like to make this extra special, arrange your pages as an IC comic and I will put together another PDF file for the IC Alternative Expo book (this will be low res).
Please send in your work to me by the end July and it will be done by the second week of August.
Thank you,
Randy (who is taking time off of the cafe until August, which is why it hasn't been updated)
PS: I will also set up the book so that it can be output at a copy shop and put together easily.

Thank you very much.
Now everyone start submitting!
later,
Randy
PS: If you didn't try for the Alternative Expo book, you can still submit to this book. Just have the images emailed to me at oestii@mac.com by the end of July!

Just a quick correction and reminder...On 2001-07-03 07:37, Randy wrote:

The Expo 2001 book has nothing to do with APE (the Alternative Press Expo), which is a fine convention its own right. Expo 2001 is connected to the Expo, the convention formerly known as Prince... er, that is, SPX.
And just a reminder that for people whose works were accepted into the book, in the submission guidelines it was explicitly stated that entries that make it into the book aren't supposed to show up elsewhere for one year.
Good luck on your anthology, though! There's always room for good comics anthologies out there.
