|Here there, Zwol!
I’m looking for an artist for an 8 page short story. I’m open to both all-in-one artists as well as just penciler/inkers.
WHAT THE STORY IS ABOUT: A newly-awakened mummy battles body perception, her own needs, and predetermined expectations for female Egyptians.
This is the fourth short in a series I’m calling “We’re All a Little Scary.” Short stories shorter, these tales are about monsters/cryptids/paranormal entities dealing with very “human” issues—depression, dating, racism, government control, massive debt, etc.
Big Foot, Little Hope was drawn by Mariano Laclaustra (Doctor Who)
Past Due Kaiju was drawn by Chris Pyrate (Heavy Metal, Shutter)
Just Mary was drawn by Alejandra Elena Gámez (The Mountain with Teeth)
My end goal is to publish an 6-8 story anthology and donate all proceeds of the graphic novel to a mental illness nonprofit.
YOUR ROLE: All-in-one artist (pencils, inks, colors) pencilers/inker for 8 pages.
DEADLINE: Ideally, everything would be completed within the next couple of months. I’m flexible with this schedule, though.
PAYMENT: Please let me know what your rate would be for this project. I’d be paying 50% upfront and 50% paid upon completion. This will be paid through Paypal.
YOUR COLLABORATORS: Me! In addition to writing the script, I'd be lettering the whole thing.
WHO AM I? For information about myself (and samples), please check out my website: http://www.chasexclamationpoint.com/. Be it as a writer, editor, or letterer, I’ve worked on stories for IDW, Image, Heavy Metal, Action Lab, and a bunch of small-press publishers.
CONTACT INFORMATION: If you’re interested, feel free to comment below or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
• Please include a link to your website/portfolio.
• Do NOT include attachments.
• Please make sure “MUMMY STORY” somewhere in your subject line. This is to ensure all e-mails get routed to the appropriate folder on my end. It makes things muuuuch more manageable!
While I won’t have time to respond to every email/message/comment, I’ll be sure to update this thread once the position has been filled. Thanks for looking!
