Know what Weblogs are? Check Blogger, Weblogs.com, Manila and- oh, so many more- to find out if you don't. I've been following various blogs for a little while and they still fascinate me. Whereas my news posts here can funtion in a very blog-like way, I don't actually consider this to be a true blog- more like, you know, Zwol-related news postings (splitting hairs? Maybe). Anyhow, I've been recently considering setting up a true multi-user comic oriented blog to which the forum members could contribute. In my head, this idea sounds cooler than cool, but in practice...?
Well, out of the blue, I notice today that Doc Searls (whose blog I read daily) has linked to me under his Blogroll Call. Hmmm, thinks I, maybe this is a sign that I should go ahead and set it up.
OK, now as if that wasn't enough- Yesterday I received a very interesting email from Kevin Pease concerning... Well, that would be telling, wouldn't it? Suffice to say, I'm thinking- hard. Comics. Weblogs. Communication. Hmmm... How do we reinvent comics? You tell me.
Ok, it's been a little while since I've really plugged any other comics out there, so here's some stuff I've been looking at lately:
For those not aware, I've decided to close down the ezboard forum I'd been running and open a forum right here under by own domain. The new forum is at http://www.zwol.org/forum/ and I'm in the process of archiving the old boards (without banner ads!) at http://www.zwol.org/old/ezboard/. So pop on over to the new board and say hello!
Sorry about the late appearance of the comic today- 'net access can be a fickle thing, sometimes.
About today's comic, Marcus says: "I may, or may not, soon do my own webcomic, but seeing that I can't draw to save my life, that is largely dependent on my friend Julia, who draws. Well, we are in the 'playing aound and see what happens' period right now and you never know..."
To read more of his writing, see some other art or to let him know what you think of this first comic (and encourage them to make more), you may wish to visit Marcus' own website.
