Zwol.org

Hi there! For those who may not be aware (and that shouldn't be too many of you, as I've been mentioning it far, far too often), today begins the second movement of Zwol. The first two weeks have been written by my friend Mary Serbe, who also provided layouts for these strips. (Layouts, if you're not familiar with the term, are rougher sketches that illustrate the panels arrangements and composition for each comic. They act as a blueprint, which I then follow (more or less) when drawing the comic.) A very small potion of Mary's other collaborative work with yours truly may be seen in the form of inks on the very small portion of our short story "18 Years" which I posted. At some point in the near future, I may be posting the rest of this story, but we'll see what form that takes.

At any rate, here we go-- Zwol, part 2.

More or less. Just received word from Randy that he'll be unable to complete the fill-in storyline this week (due to circumstances way beyond his control), so I'm going to fill-in for his fill-in and bring the storyline back to where I'm working on it (while still leaving the door open for Randy to pick up where he left off at some point in the future).

I'd like to extend much gratitude to Randy for pitching in this month and remind you all to go visit him at the SubAtomic Cafe.

The new storyline officially begins on Monday, July 2, but I'll be posting new comics this Wednesday and Friday, prefiguring Zwol's (temporary?) new schedule-- three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. (For those who'll miss the 5-day-a-week schedule, I'll see what I can do about increasing frequency again, but it's a real grind, believe me!)

Will be delayed (as you can tell). Sorry for the lack of update but as soon as I have the comic from Randy, I'll be posting it (or an announcement about when it will be posted).

Next Monday I expect to be back from hiatus and posting the first comic in the next movement, "Strange & Beautiful".
