MySpace is good for something after all

Posted at 23:47 Permalink

Just found an MP3 of a song I've been after since 1997. A scene in the movie "Starship Troopers" (one of my favorite political movies), features a cover version of David Bowie's "I Have Not Been to Oxford Town", but that track is not on the soundtrack. Turns out that the singer, Zoƫ Poledouris, has it available for download from her MySpace page. Now, my life is complete.

Farewell, Uncle Chuck

Posted at 16:41 Permalink

Sad news today as we hear the Charleton Heston died at the age of 85. I didn't agree with his politics and find many of his movies silly beyond silly, but there's no denying that the man was magic. Ride into the sunset, Uncle Chuck. Adios!

Happy New Year

Or whatever. 2008 shall probably not be the year the website is updated regularly, but I'm sure we'll all muddle through somehow.

Paul Thurrott lays it all our for you:

Steve Jobs is a god. An angry, spiteful god, but a god nonetheless. I know why you worship him. But I fear for you all the same.
