I could get no farther than the French/English introductory page, but perhaps it's just as well. I've permanently disabled Flash on my machine.

Sorry, but I seem to be lacking whatever plugins are necessary to operate the site.

And, for some reason, your splash page totally crashes Netscape 4.71, IRIX version.

If you send stuff to yourself in the mail, you've only proved that you live at your house; it does nothing for copyright (never has, never will). Copyright in the US is awarded instantly upon the act of creation of the material itself (it does not even need to carry the Copyr. symbol and/or date to ...

I don't really know much about animation in comics myself. Even though I have a background in animation (traditional and CG), I don't see animation as being an integral part of a comic. Most fo the examples I've seen tend to be redundant/annoying, without contributing much more than any static image...

Hm. Okay. Here's a bunch I read regularly: http://www.ozyandmillie.org http://www.itswalky.com http://www.schlockmercenary.com http://www.kevinandkell.com I guess I may as well put my own (extremely intermittent), but I don't updatge very often, and am not really active about pursuing it, although I...

Heighdy Kevin, Hmmm. I guess I should start by explaining that this isn't a commercial production, has no deadlines, and really doesn't have much purpose beyond the "Can we do this? Apparently, we can" sort of motivation. If you want an actual goal, the journey itself will have to serve, since we do...

Interesting; we're expecting to do lots and lots of compositing (mostly because of the sizes of the scenes make shoving everything in together in the same scene makes everything really slow, even with 1 GB of RAM, a crossbar switch, and dual processors). Does Tim Dawson do everything in a single ren...

Wacom tablets... it's very different from pen and ink (or brush and ink). When I first started using the tablet I was expecting it to replace the pen/brush; but I missed the tooth of paper, and the resistence and weight of a pen or brush. It wasn't until I started to experiment with it for other pur...

Heighdy, Re: Financing: was difficult, but let's just say I've maxed my credit cards to get started. As far as Renderman goes, we're not using PIXAR's product, but a smaller package that actual does global illumination (not that we'll be using it much) and raytracing. By (one person's) request, here it is (I'm assuming a lot of familiarity with tools that may be unfamiliar, if I don't adequately explain everything, it's because I've been pressed for time lately, and apologize; I will make any necessary clarifications when I can): There's still a lot to do, by ver...

Some of us are working on that, actually. If anyone's interested, I can describe the process that's being worked on right now, and what some of the issues are...

High-quality montors do exist, but the fact remains that staring at tiny text on a big screen does little for your eyes' health. And, typically, only the graphic arts/architectual and engineering industries really buy these sorts of displays, because they do cost so much more than consumer displays ...
