The contemporary legend of rose-marie was great too, btw, not to suggest otherwise. I love those lines and colors (you may want to double-check the last line though).

I can understand why, and I'm sure that your reasoning is quite accurate, but I worry that by taking people away from the original site, and thinning the roster, MT may risk alienating some subscribers, and there may be less money to go around come renewal time. I hope that's not the case, but even ...

I suppose that this is really a post for Talk About Comics, but I saw the thread, and decided to sound off. I wonder how Modern Tales is doing too, because they have my money, but I notice that it's been in a bit of a slump lately. Excluding I Am A Rocket, and Radiopolis, there hasn't been much of a...

I've been perusing the site off an on for the last week. There's some great material there, and some good ideas as well. I've already started re-examining my site to see what I can lift without looking like I'm lifting.

Maybe you can join our weekly one hour comic group!

Very good idea! I had been thinking of something along those lines ("updated weekly", or something like that). I have four new pages for the Hougan done, and waiting on my computer, but only three or four to go to finish, so I have been holding off on posting anything. I should be able to get to it ...

Thanks. I'm hoping to expand it a little more, once my brother starts coughing up his share of comics, and I get a free weekend to tinker. I need to constuct a links page on it at some point soon, but I think I may be better doing that in my own section, rather than messing with main page. Right now...

Will do Jason. Thanks for the heads up, btw. *** I was just scanning back through the posts, and I noticed that I hadn't answered Vince's question about how I played with the left to right. To be honest, before I tried it yesterday I had no idea how to do it. I didn't use frames. I simply built a ta...

Thanks Wikkit. I have been using Netscape Composer to slap things together, and I keep forgetting to check the relative url. Doh! It should be fixed now. What if we try to go without words next week? Really neat Vince. I love that surrealist style. Thank goodness no cartoonists had to die for this one (did they?) Mine is a little different this week. I was trying for something that I didn't quite achieve, but I think it was a neat experiment. I also wanted to try left to right panels this time, ...

They were all pretty viceral, weren't they? Hmmm. I vote for the CIA thing. Getting back to what Vince was saying, I have reconsidered. I was thinking about the value of routine, and what a difference it might make to my art, and I decided that I WOULD like to try it every week. Say every Sunday, or...

new, improved dunktank makes a splash!

I haven't finished all the tweaking I would like to do, but it's up and running, along with the first installment of my new comic, Queen of Quark (which will get funny like a snow ball rolling down hill).

Check it out HERE!

It might be hard to organize every week, but I would be willing to give it a shot. Actually, I had been trying to convince a bunch of local people to do something like this on paper, but it's never gotten off the ground. I sort of liked the idea of suggesting a phrase, or a theme, and then having ev...

I'm at a new job this year mtself, administrating a school, believe it or not, and turning my girlfriend into a "computer widow" (her words), so that I can stay up until 11 or 12 every night to doodle on the computer. As a result I'm feeling sick, and falling behin...

This might sound a little crazy right now, but my friend Matt and I both did the 24 hour comic thing this summer, and were talking about turning it into an "event" next summer. There are lots of great places nearby, and the exchange rate is so good (for anyone from the US, at any rate) that some of ...

I tend to agree with Tim and David, but I want to say upfront... Cool! My first thought when I watched the first episode was, what is he using, and how can I incorporate a little animation to grab people's attention. The bird in the most recent episode flew across the screen, and I was caught off-gu...

I just found out I have an important meeting at school Monday night, and won't be coming home before hand. How about I do mine Sunday afternoon, and we just set a 24 hour period in which our 1 hour comics must be online (and maybe we should include a brief explanation of how we spent our time)?
