Hi there, I've known people who have dealt with both ka-blam and comixpress. Generally most of them prefer ka-blam. While comixpress are quick to respond at first, they are slow to deliver. If you have complints they usually give you the run around. Color quality isn't very satisfactory ka-blam but ...

Hey Marcelino,
I just opened this thread today. I must say your current
project looks interesting. I also noticed that your style
is developing with each panel you draw. Congratulations
on your new gig and I hope you get more in the future!

I generally find that not keeping them exactly the same every time is okay. I just make sure that the characters are still recognizable and the action is understandable in each panel. But if the people I'm collaborating with are particular with uniformity, I find grid lines generally useful. I also ...

The fact that comics are not as widely pirated as music or movies is good thing. It allows more revenue for the industry and helps more artist find opportunities to excel. Currently there are several comic book titles that can be downloaded in PDF format luckily though it's not as widespread as eBook.

Yeah I feel that way too. I find the illustrations that I do using tablets lacking a certain quality that the ones I make with pencils and papers have. I figured it's a difference in the medium but at the moment I'm trying to explore if it's just lack of experience with the hardware that's causing t...

It always helps you have some drawing skill. There are many free tutorials on the net on how to draw and design your own characters if you're willing to put the time into looking for them. The best advice I can give you is to start with simple ideas. Try designing characters but try not to copy othe...

Hi Steve,
While I'm personally swamped right now, I know a few artists I can recommend. I know some pretty good artists who are out of work.
What kind of art work are you looking for and what is the comic book about?

As for the original question, old school or new school, it's always better to come up with your own style without strictly adhering to one school of art. That way your art stands out and you help with the evolution of the arts.
