Seasoned Scripter looking for artist (Unpaid)
Hey Guys, I'm a Fiction and script writer who's been around the block a few times with comics, as well as having published a couple short stories in the Avalon Press and Inwood Indiana lit journals if that counts for anything. I'd like to say that I specialize in fantastical worlds and surreal scena...

Seasoned scripter looking for artist (not Paid) [Closed]
Hey, my current comic collaboration is reaching its closing, and I thought I'd see if anyone is up to working with me. I've been around the block before, working on a superhero comic http://supercosmic212.blogspot.com/, a dark, brooding comic about strange monsters http://www.tunhlaing.com/books.htm...

Workign with Artists
It is true that some artists will work with you to work on their portfolio, but I agree that most artists will only work if they like the writer's work or are paid. I personally think that's fair enough, I personally wouldn't work with an artist whose work is subpar, I've certainly turned down a cou...

I've heard this argument before
As I said before, you can still have a dedicated and skilled writer who's dirt poor and can't afford even 10 dollars a page. And a writer having money may just mean that the writer has money. But I can understand your frustration with writers dropping out of projects, it seems to happen a lot with b...

Finding an Artist
Perhaps you should try other sites to look for artists. Digital webbing I know is a pretty decent site, but let google be your guide. Search Writer looking for Artist or vice versa, that's how I find the write sites to post on. One also has to be flexible. I oftentimes find myself working on someone...

The Problems in finding a writer
A point I've seen made earlier in this thread is that the reason an artist will charge is because they don't believe in the project. And I understand that. I do believe however as you do, that if one believes in a project that they should be open to not being paid for it. But it's very hard to break...

A rebuttal
So you're saying I should use what little money I do use towards my own enjoyment towards a comic artist? I find that unrealistic, unless you're a person who gets enough enjoyment from comic work to satisfy all of his or her needs. I don't spend much towards myself, but what I do I cherish. I know w...

I disagree with you on that one
I personally have worked with quite a few artists without needing to commit money. Do I think it's harder to find committed and quality artists without putting money on the table, certainly, but it's not impossible or a requirement as you make it out to be. The sacrifice I have had to make a few tim...

Here's my thoughts
I as a writer have no money to spend on comics, even 10 bucks a page adds up to hundreds of dollars. Although I am looking for work I have literally no money while I am going to college, yet I am still passionate about comic creation. Saying that I'm not passionate about comics because I don't have ...

What kind of studio are you?
I don't mean to be rude, but what kind of comics do you plan to publish? I ask this because there were plenty of erotic publishers who posted job offerings in here, and also because many writers and artists work in a particular genre or have a style they work in. Definitely pitch what your mission i...

Okay, after finding a research consultant have decided that I no longer need a co-writer, enough pressure has been taken off me so that I can easily tackle the writing duties on my own. Still looking
So far many artists and writers have applied so far. I'm pretty much set on the colorist as well as the letterist, but the Artist and Writer spots are still open. I have a couple applicants for both positions that I am strongly considering, but if you are a writer or artist you will still have a fai...

I have also worked on several comics posted on www.artificialcomix.com (Most of the comics were based on my scripts, including Iraqi Lover and My Headache), as well as a sup...

Writer seeking Artist
I am an writer looking to work with an artist. I have several finished drafts of scripts, and although I would prefer to work on one of them, I am willing to try anything and if you have an idea you would like me to flesh out I am willing to work on it. This extends to co-writing and even editing. Y...

I'm willing to offer my services
Hi, my name is Rob and the idea sounds interesting enough for me. The only detriment seems to be the idea another replier suggested, that being other artists and writer using my characters and world. I'm not comfortable with that, just a thought. I am currently the writer for www.artificialcomix.com...
