I'm not so worried about WHAT Scott McCloud is...the question I find myself asking is "WHY is Scott McCloud?" Because it was about time. Because we needed him. He wasn't the first comics guru, but he's the guru of our generation (assuming that most of you are roughly my age). It's not an overstatem...

Okay, you got me.
Noah-Eastah's?
Uh... "north-eastern," maybe? As in the north-easterly wind? Somebody help me out here. Presumably it has nothing to do with either Noah, or Easter.

I've always thought that Uninformed Bob would make a good T-shirt, though you'd probably have to use both the front and back to fit the whole thing, which would kind of ruin it, I think. How about a Brimley plush doll? Now that would be awesome. As for something actually feasible, I'm kind of stumped.

Scott hasn't done a serial-killer strip yet, has he? :P I don't know about that... I think this guy's pretty harmless, even if a little disturbed. I doubt he's one o' them Stabbin' Bums. He's one of those guys that are always being brought in for questioning on shows like Law & Order. They'll occas...

I'm more of a writer than an artist, so I was particularly interested with the last few panels. The shift in colors seems to take us outside the narrative-thus-far, but I feel like I've missed something. Maybe I'm an idiot to ask, but are we looking at the past, the future, the subconscious... or i...

If there's one thing that I've found a bit annoying recently, it's the fragmentation of threads. When the threads began to derail, it seemed to be the reaction for those who wanted to either continue with the original topic or who were just in the mood for something different, to create a whole new ...

I'm not so sure. A female friend of mine has always said that she thought women were more dangerous, more conniving and more manipulative than men were. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that women aren't capable of many an underhanded deed. Surely many women are conniving and manipulative (I've k...

I'm not usually one to emphasize differences between men and women; I tend to think more in terms of how the sexes are alike than how they're not. But that said, I couldn't help but think while reading Part Two, that no woman would ever come up with a crazy scheme like that. (Not the writing of the ...

Well I was using Mozilla Firebird when I got that message. I just tried it with IE and I still can't get in. When I log in to BitPass it recognizes that I've paid, but I just can't seem to get any further than that. With IE I get the old "Cannot Find Server" screen. Incidentally, I had no trouble ge...

I'm having trouble accessing Part One. I payed for it several months ago, and it's reading it as having until February before it expires, but it won't let me in. It says "Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked." I th...

"_____, his face black, his eyes red!!"
My only salvation is that I don't remember the name of the guy in question. We are so not cool, you guys.

"Scourge of small cords," huh. Yeah, I guess that does sound familiar. Still, "drove them all out of the temple" doesn't necessarily mean "smacked them around" with it. If one fires a gun into the air, most people will clear out pretty fast. If some crazy hippie starts flipping over tables and shaki...

Well without thinking about it too hard, I'm inclined to say that most of the religions one associates with eastern Asia include some concept of reincarnation, so a hell doesn't really enter into it. A quick look though seems to indicate that there are sects of these religions, such as Buddhism, whi...

Why didn't I think of that?
Oh, "festering gob" -COMMA- "you tit." That makes perfect sense! I've gone through the better part of my life wondering what a "gobutit" was.Anonymous wrote:Now, shut you're festering gob, ya tit! Your type really makes me puke! You vacuous, coffee-nosed, malodorous pervert!

That was never five minutes just now.
Who else does not feel like they agree with either party whole heartedly and wish for better options? Yup. That about sums it up. I get so freaking tired of people who seem to want to argue for the sake of arguing. It's not as if one is going to convince the other that he/she is right. They're both...

Good idea.
How about "More fun than a bucketful of kittens!" At this point, I'd say that applies to just about anything. Or if you say something that you were trying to keep secret, you've "let the kitten out of the bucket." If you wish to administer a savage beating you can "open up a bucketful of kittens on ...

("Innocent Civilians" implies that millitary/combative personel are automatically guilty). That's not a bad point, except that unless the individual has been compelled to perform military service (i.e. drafted) he/she is tacitly agreeing to kill other human beings should his/her government so order...
