Poster size comics

gazorenzoku, If I'm not mistaken, you made mention of this type of comic a few weeks ago or so, and at the time, I thought it to be a great idea. I still do. Though , personally I've never done one, I do agree that it's benifits to comics would be impressive. I myself would love to see any sketches ...

Good Idea

Losttoy, Hey, I think your suggestion for gathering area artists to meet and talk shop is a great idea. I , myself am from South Daytona, Florida, and only wish I could meet more cartoonists in my area with whom I could speak with and draw with or for . Any way, I 'm hoping that will change in the f...

Inking by hand

I just dropped a line off at planetcartoonists message board about this very topic. Apparently , I know little about the use of masking on my work for the purpose of the "spray" technique using a toothbrush. I was wondering myself how this can be done without ruining the rest of your piece while at ...

No rules..just right?

Greg..thanx for your reply..I really had no idea that "standards" for comic strip art were so varied..Even though the prepared board that I am trying to use has "guidelines" for it's use with respect to reduction for print...I'm curious..what generally is the size paper you use?. Now that I'm aware ...

Prepared art board and it's many uses

Heyall..just started using some of the pre-lined art board for the first time recently and was curious.....the panels that are provided are not as large as I'd thought and was wondering if it would be a sin against the almighty comic strip god if more that one board be used in the creation of a stri...

User friendly websites

Well...5$ a month is most certainly cheap enough..not having the computer savvy that most of you out there possess,I tend to make these questions more confusing than I intend..Sorry about that!. I suppose what it is that I'm looking for is..a site that is easy enough for the in-experienced to use..s...

Looking for the most user friendly and cheap!.

Hey all. I'm getting geared up to commit to a website for the posting of my artwork among other things, and am curious as to ..what is a good user friendly and relatively cheap ( dirt cheap is more like it ) host for a site? I currently have a webpage with geocities.com and though the construction o...

Where is it?

O.k...I realize that there are still areas of this site that I've yet to visit, but try as I might, I can't seem to locate the link to take me to the "page" where all the other postings of enties to No Contest by other contributing artists are kept. I can't have been the only entry, and am intereste...

Never give up..even if it seems you should

I'm not sure about alot of you out there, and I certainly won't speak for you either, but when I decided (later in life that I would have liked )that cartooning is just something that I wanted to do..it really didn't matter that I wasn't better than everybody else out there, or that there stood a go...

Utilizing correction fluid for mistakes made while inking

Anyone out there know of a way to best use correction fluid to mask
mistakes made during the inking process?.Understandably. it's best to try and catch such errors prior to inking, but it does happen. Is there a "best " brand out there other than the 'Liquid Paper " pens that I use?
any advice ...?

I gotta tell you people...this is perhaps the most usable message board that I have used yet..I was frequenting 'Planet Cartoonist" and that board in of itself is very good, but it seems to me that most of the users are more or less vying for work. That, I have no problem with, but because of a ques...

...Once I figure it out..I'll post a few.

:D Well..due to some great advice (including you, greg ), I may actually be on the way to figuring out how to e- mail my art out. This has been quite a problem as I have little patience for the "techy" part of p.c.'s. But hopefully, I'll soon be in a position to take part in the "no-contest". Thanx ...
