Finished my last one ( "Leave the Oranges To Me" ) a little over two weeks ago and have started my new one ( "Substance & Opinion" ) a few days ago. As far as I can tell, it's my 12th Everydaycomic. The main site for the Everydaycomics remains a bit clumsily designed. I will get my hands on that as ...

I really, really love how the moment speech enters the situation of the two good-minded, the pencil sketches leave, as though a conversation would fixate the overall moods, giving them more clearness and contrast. http://www.scottmccloud.com/comics/mi/mi-25/zz-b2.jpg http://www.scottmccloud.com/comi...

I just skimmed through the whole last part of this conversation, and am surprised as to the extent that the thoughts have drifted towards ideas already put forward in Flatland - A romance of many dimensions , published in 1884 by Edwin A. Abbott. In it, a two-dimensional society exists in which the ...

I like that one. I don't know really why, but it kinda puts a certain religious attitude into perspective, esp. the end.efm wrote: I then made a comic using that style.
I have used it like a story machine. Not to create a story, but to get my mind off of it, so I can go back to it with a fresh mind.

While I certainly can see the "drug tripping" association for my piece of visual art there, it's probably been done completely sober, as it usually takes me many days to finish a drawing like that. And I can't be stoned ALL the time. :) Of course I also agree that it doesn't quite fit the initial de...

I have done something similar a few times, though the ways of the "stories" are less linear in my attempt than in those who were presented.

I have recently started a new one, though I have to admit I had to lay off the thing for a few days inbetween because of schedule trouble.
One of the fellow posters around these parts suggested the title for it, "Leave the Oranges To Me".
I like it so far.
