The strip clubs there are world famous.

And if that doesnt do it for you: Taking pics of the stripclubs next door to the churches.

But if they lack skills, then it doesnt matter what approach they take to the visual aspect of comics. Pointy chins or flapping jaws wont matter

What I meant, for only one of my bullet points, was: Don't make an extended gesture, such as screaming, look less lifelike. Make it look more lifelike, and exaggerate it enough to show what the emotion feels like. And how doesnt the other way show the emotion if the iconic imagry is understood by t...

Everyone in Japan is derivative of Tezuka, everyone in America is derivative of Kirby, everyone in France is derivative of Underzo, everyone on the web is derivative of animator #25 that does Kim Possible cells. And none of these creators have ever followed a representational art philosophy. Not eve...

Just under a week for the most amazing first page of any comic that's being restarted. To be updated weekly in that glacial pace of all longform comics on the web.

I will agree with this idea if it's the Adam West Batman. Cuz you know that both him and Shatner know they're better than all of us...Sort of adding a double shot of bad-assery. Everyone will be like, "Holy shit!"

Much like they will be on Valentine's Day when they go to my site.

My assumption would be that on 800x600 or whatever it was, that was large clear text. So, you know, back then a 500px image would take up most of the screen, but today it's smallish. I assume someone at 1600x 1200 sees nothing but a tiny blur. Of course, that is hand-lettered text. So it's a bit cra...

Screen resolution has a lot to do with it.. as well as what it was originally intended for. That comic of Cat's looks like it was either done originally for print, or done a while ago on a lower resolution monitor than what's commonly used now. Given that it's copyrighted 1998, I'd say it's the seco...

I'm afraid that the old saying of "Getting something done right requires doing it yourself" is quite true at Comixpedia.org But the reason they remove images is because they couldnt use them without violating some copyrights. They're voting on a brilliant policy created by a brilliant person that wi...

Actually, "she"... The easiest way to get your webcomic cherry popped is to head over to Comic Genesis: http://www.comicgenesis.com/ They've held many a new creator's hand. Just watch out for the group-think there, or else you'll never try to grow beyond them As for the rest of it, you'll have to de...

Thanks. That pic of Icon doing the karaoke was something I scanned from my sketchpad. That's pretty much going to be the style presented: No color, minimum pre-ink construction... and possibly hand-lettered. Not too much from the Photoshop aside from cleaning it up, filling in blacks, and making it ...
