The results are now online, in a spectacular online-ceremony. Congrats to all the winners, and big ol' thumbs up to all the presenters.

Cartoonist Choice Awards Online Presentation

Hey everyone, This year, I'm the art director for the Cartoonist's Choice Awards Online Ceremony. I'm bringing back the comic-presentations, and working hard to make it the absolute BEST comic award ceremony ever. This year's co-hosts will be Welton Colbert and Mister US, and the presenters, well I ...

No sir, there was quite enough Hotel California that day without me getting into it. I heard it 3 times the evening of the karaoke bust. And tonight is the "Phi-Phi Idol" karaoke contest here in Thailand, so I expect I'll hear it a few times tonight.

Hello, I'm not dead! What did I do for 12 hour comic day? I did a 12 page road comic. The rules are a lil different. It's 12 pages long, and I spent 12 hours or less on it, but I was visiting Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and drew what was going on as it happened. Yee-haw. Here ya go. http://ryanestra...

Ok, so a comic may not be the best format to write a musical.

Just an FYI, 96 Hour Comic Day is being postponed until later this year, as I found a more worthwhile way to spend my vacation than doing hourly updates about what kind of juice I'm drinking while drawing comics. I'm heading to Thailand to help rebuild some of the Tsunami damage, and then making car...

I've started putting the comic on my site. New chapters every M, W, and F.
And I'm relatively sure that sometime mid-February will be 96 Hour Comic Day.

Thanks a lot everyone! William, I look forward to seeing the 12 hour comic. Maybe after I finish 96 Hour Comic Day, I'll start going down instead of up. But then... my kindergarteners told me to calm down in class this morning (I was explaining the plot of my comic and it involved leaping over the t...

done

Well that was anticlimatic. I finished in 64 hours. I left a little spot on one of the last pages to draw a picture of Scott McCloud being eaten by lizard men, just so I can save something to actually do in hour 72. I guess I'll go do laundry now, and maybe get tomorrow's Gamer's Edge comic finished...

I've had two two-hour power naps. I am currently at 58 pages, 55 hours, and the pages I'm doing now are way better than the pages I did earlier on.
Stupid web page. Must be that Y2K5 bug.

Now hour 43, when I was lying on the ground twitching like a mouse in a trap, that was when the fatigue was setting in. Now I'm on my second second wind.

Just Friday-Sunday. That's all I need. Sure, I'll roll into a kindergarten class the next morning and pass out on top of a copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, but it'll be cool.
