You need more sequential art. Luckily for you your sequential work is interesting and unique making it original and eye-catchy. You should post samples of your work to draw people in. Since you do want to be paid COD dont back down from it, write in 5 page batches and get paid for each installment before doing more. If someone offers you % of sales they arent serious about their project and not worth your time.

Im not surprised to hear that. Hardly anyone here has money to offer. Generally when the term "page rates" is brought up here, it means the person doesnt have enough $$$ to pay for the project. You should ask what their budget is and go from there if they ask for "rates" i wouldnt bother replying.

The best way to work out how much $$ an artist will want is that it takes a day to do 1-2pages of pencils/inks depending on the artist and a day to do coloring, so how much would you want for a days work?
