No, no, the grey is clearly an example of subjunctive / optative mood. The black speech bubbles then indicate a negative mood, and somewhat emphatic at that.

Atheism is a single belief: nothing is more divine than humanity. On what are you basing this? Divinity with regard to humanity doesn't enter into atheism . Some who call themselves atheist might believe that humans have spirits. Spirit can be considered divine. Therefore, while most atheists likel...

Atheism is a single belief: nothing is more divine than humanity. (Whether humans are divine is an entirely separate matter.) So I'd call it as much a religion as agnosticism: not at all.

But the antithesis of organized religion is, in my opinion, disorganized religion.

'"Switching over to the PNG format has given me about a 4K reduction in size per panel." says Christopher B. Wright in An Open Letter to All Web Cartooonists.'

That's odd--I can't remember saying that or writing an Open Letter to All Web Cartoonists, especially since I'm not one myself.

It would certainly be a word were there not another word with the same root and function and general form. As it is, maybe. After all, it's derived in the regular manner.

Shall they stroll off into the sunset pushing one shopping cart between them? Sit down in the park and start reading? Shall we list a bunch and th...

Two bits says Sean and Sophie both stay with Fathah Leary. The more likely alternative is that they separate and never see each other again. Considering the weather, Sean could die. And no, I'm not hoping for that end.

How old are Sean and Sophie? Any guesses?

Somebody misplaced his caps lock key.

Is this the end? Will they walk off into the sunset hand in hand, leaving their spare personalities to wither and die, or will their alternate selves reassert control and engage in violent acts?

Help, I'm channeling Rhetorical Question Man!

As for the "multiple personalities, multiple personae" idea...perhaps, if the default personalities (those they use with each other) are the shared ones. But I doubt that; they do seem a bit different. All the other pairings make no sense.

Keep the dialect. Changing it know would look bad.

In prose, you can say, for instance, "'Unhand my beer!' he declared in a thick Scottish brogue." In comics, you only have dialogue and pictures. So you have to use defaced English to express a dialect.

The beauty is in the limitations.

There was a reason for the war with Iraq that few mention. Saddam sent SCUDs at our ally, Israel. That was ten, twelve years ago, and we should have deposed him then. The other reasons were suspected links to Al Qaeda, suspected WMDs, and Saddam's strategies for maintaining order within his country....
