Re: rockin' Improv
Why don't you ever see a movie about two ugly people falling in love? I know this is simply opinion, but I'd say Barfly with Mickey Rourke and theatrically soused Faye Dunaway made a pretty ugly couple. I haven't actually seen About Schmidt , but the promos showed Jack Nicholson and a hot-tubbing K...

The Revenge of Li'l Monsters
I've posted another month's worth of strips. If you read the entire last set I posted, you can start here to pick-up where you left off: http://joiningtree.netfirms.com/monsters/strip25.htm Otherwise, you probably ought to start at the beginning: http://joiningtree.netfirms.com/monsters/ The artist ...

Lighter side of...
Heh-heh-heh... I was simply going to say any comparison to a classic like that is fine with me -- but I did a quick search to see the format (haven't read one of those strips in years) and I was AMAZED at how closely the rhythm of my strip matched Dave Berg's! Much appreciated...
My thanks to those who've already taken a look and left a message on the board or sent a private email. The more input I get, the better the output. What we did waaay back then it looks so old to me now. I'm just in love with the concept (I'm a big classic horror fan and always loved Charles Addams'...

Li'l Monsters
Inspired by everyone else making headway in the online comic arena, and the incredible support and feedback of the ZWOL forums, I decided to begin my personal foray into webcomics by revisiting an idea a collaborator and I undertook almost ten years ago. http://joiningtree.netfirms.com/monsters/ I'v...

Re: Bada bing!
Interesting comparison... Wonder Woman, maybe... but Shazam? Hmm. Okay. Actually the heroines name is Jennifer... just to be a bit picky. Sorry about the name, but I'll bet you'll start to see that become a common mistake -- the project name is what got me: "CANADIANA" = CANA-DIANA. Where I get the...

Classic
I agree with the other comments made -- high quality comic with classic overtures. The vibe I get so far is a cross between DC's Captain Marvel (SHAZAM!) and Wonder Woman... heck, even your heroine's name is "Diana."

More possibilities...
This would make a great interface for a Memento -like-comic. Where the reader is droped into the middle of a plot, and would literally have to put the story together. It made a similar impression on me, but I think it would make good stop-off points in a longer detective story. Standard art panels ...

What is content worth?
The easy answer to this question is 'whatever someone is willing to pay for it' -- and nowhere is this more accurate than when using a tip jar or donation-based payment structure for content. There's a great article this week in the ClickZ newsletter about just this subject. I've linked to the 'prin...

Held Hostage
DON when I saw your banner I came with a great idea to make money of web comics. :) Do a long format detective or mystery story, and when there are only a few pages left put up a banner like that except with a higher price. In effect holding the ending hostage. Of course, it would ruin the flow of ...
