I have a new comic up as part of Jon Morris' CALAMITY! jam.(Well, actually it's been up for about a week but if you haven't seen it yet it's new to you, right?) It's called What Happened? CALAMITY! is a collaborative anthology featuring a bevy (that's right, a whole bevy) of talented cartoonists and...

I posted another comic yesterday. (click the banner) It plays with iconicity and narrative representation a little bit. Other than that it's a pretty straightforward semi-autobio strip. All in vector art. I hope you...

I liked it but thought the animation just diverted the eye too much when reading the earlier panels. (I'm specifically talking about the colour-changing bg. Didn't notice the rain until after having read it.) The "rain" is actually just animated hatching with a slow pulsing effect. I hadn't thought...

I put up a new comic. The Youth Not much, really. Playing around a bit with animation. I've scripted a number of these shorter ones which I'll release from time to time between more major projects. I hope it brings you so...

Thanks, guys. I'm guessing that the people are laughing at him because he doesn't understand their joke. That's pretty close, Eric. I don't think they're laughing at him, per se... it retains the sense of comics through the importance of spatial relativity of the images and words and it falls...

This is the thread I will use to announce new comics.
If it's okay with Greg.
That way I won't have to start a new topic every time I put up a comic.
Like now:
(two confessions)
It's made with the Infinite Canvas program and it's based on a true story.

I really like this! I'd lean a lot more towards the "different" side than the "comics," though. It's like comics- inspired animation. A good measure I've found is audience involvment. Doroithy Gambrell said "It?s a comic if the reader determines the pace at which it is read." That may be a bit too r...

so far what I've seen produced for it (and the Infinite Canvas program) are every bit as experimental as the display methods themselves. What do you mean by experimental? Most of Merlin's narratives are kind of out there, even without the Flashy delivery. But I'll agree with Greg on PoCom. That and...

New Site - The Yellowlight
Hello. I launched a new site today called the Yellow Light I've been making comics using the new Infinite Canvas program. If you get around alot you may have seen my previous 2 comics, which I collect here, but I've also released a new one: Everybody Loves Chris Ware. Is it satire or homage? Only yo...

And an orginal IC comic by Ryan Estrada. This one is a spectacular demonstration of the storytelling possibilities of the program. Bridging a gap between comics and animation.
I'm so jealous.

here's a nice use of the IC program by Ryan Estrada. It's a previously made comic he reformatted to the app. Good way to try it out for yourself.
His home page says that he's trying out some original stuff for the app, too. Can't wait to see it.

I think that the infinite canvas application worked really well for the infinite gag strip, but reading Tree City USA was slightly frustrating because of the way the program slowed down my reading experience. It felt like when you're reading from the same book as someone else and you have to wait u...

Hey! Scott linked to one of my comics today. Pretty cool. Thanks Scott. Don't forget the other one, the Infinite Gag Strip. (sorry, i'm just really proud of this one) Aquarius has really done a bang up job on this app. I am fair...

"Infinite Canvas" Application
A couple of months ago Scott posted a link to a new web comics authoring program for MAC called Infinite Canvas. I've created a few comics using this program, now, and have really enjoyed using it. If you'd like to see some examples of comics made using Infinite Canvas, my comics are <a href="http://...
