Thank you Alexander. I read and responded to your post this morning. I am still very keen to submit something to the magazine, and have actually devoted the month of November (I will taking a brief break from a number of other projects) to penning a graphic "novella" which I would like to send your ...

If I can swing it next week I will. Half Empty, Pup, Magic Whistle, and about a half dozen others that I only discovered this mornign have all got my attention.

My problem now is that I have to stop reading some of what I am already reading in order to keep up.

Sorry, no idea here... and in response to the Snag Master, yes, I used Netscape Composer to build my tables (I only speak pigeon-html). I knew when I was writing it that it wasn't particullarly comic-y, I was wondering how far I could go. To be honest, this one wasn't comic-y at all. I'l have to get...

I'd love to see your They Might Be Giants anyway. I still have to do mine (next weekend?). Well, here's my one hour comic for this week. It's 'different', but I've been trying to make a point of doing something I have't tried yet each week (which is why some of them kind of flopped). This time I wan...

I'll get to work on mine first thing tomorrow morning. In the meantime I managed to dig up that link for David to my 24 hour comic from last summer. I learned a lot from that experience too, and if I can manage to nail down a few restrictions to this graphic novel in a month thing, I think I may be ...

G4 Shmee 4. You did great. All that's required is the guts to try, and you did, and pulled off something pretty funny to boot (which is something I haven't got much of a handle on). We all rock! Really! We could have done just about anything else for an hour, but we didn't, and that's go to be worth...

I don't know, do I? It's been a bit of a ghost two lately - or is it just me?

Thanks Vince. I will have a loook at my tools tonight, and see if I can find teh antialiasing. It's not the first time I've had a problem with it, and I should really try to fix it. As for your other comments about the 'perfect one hour comic,' I think I know what you mean: we seem to be getting use...

Hah! That's funny David! I've been following the veggie thread too, and I think you've just woven the two threads together with that one. I like the style too - I have a terrible fondness for black sharpie markers, which was one of teh things that made moving on to the computer very hard. I'd be cur...

Very interesting Vince, and it opens up some doors I hadn't thought of yet (recombining pre-existing images, etc.). I like. Mine didn't come off quite as well as I would have liked this week. I was going for a reflective thing, but it didn't quite work. That, and I have some sort of anti-aliasing pr...

I totally agree. Serializer has me much more excited than Adventure Strips did. I think it's just a different market, The roster is pretty amazing, and it looks to be a little more experimental. I am also looking forward to MT Longplay. I think it will add value to what's on MT now (btw, has anyone ...

In Quebec, where I live, the law protects the French Language, and it is the official language of business... but we get plenty of English TV. I don't know what I would do if we didn't.

They Might Be Webcomics!

Hey folks, Jason Alderman and I have been talking up the idea of collecting together a bunch of comics inspired by the music of They Might Be Giants. Care to join us for some whacked out webcomics?

Thanks for the heads up on David's comic. I typed it in manually, and read it this afternoon. Cool! I may need to flip a coin ...

I use macromedia's Freehand, and then export everythign throgh Fireworks, so I can play with stuff a little more. I wish I had Illustrator, but this seems to do the job.

As for TMBG, what about a webcomic jam, where people contribute comics for songs... we could do it in the jam section.

Sorry you won't be joining us this weekend Vince. I did mine, but I made it small because it was my first time using a long panel like this, and I was afraid that the file would be huge. In retrospect, I think I should have gone about 50% larger, but I will remember that for next time... maybe I cou...

I understand. I've made plenty of little blunders in my daily comic, but I promise that when I get around to finishing my submission I will be sure to have someone proofread it for me. Beautiful art though, and a great ending.

Those that you mentioned are among my favourites too (I also love New Adventures of Death and Teaching Baby Paranoia). As for the others, I don't know that it's so much a question that they have left, as updates have become more and more infrequent. I believe Cat Garza is working on the new stand-al...
