Okay, a few issues here to respond to: First of all, I have no problem whatsoever with people grabbing art from my free comics to make their own custom wallpapers for their personal use. Just yesterday, a reader sent me a copy of a "harmony monkey" wallpaper he made for himself. It was cute. (Grabbi...

So far, the numbers are still pretty modest, but that's to be expected. We're asking people to make a huge leap of faith into an unknown type of commerce. One by one, they're doing it, but it'll take a bit longer to become "normalized." As of today (January 21, '04) total sales of Part One of "The R...

Re: hmm
...i've been thinking about it. it's a tough one to be honest. let's assume you know that you're close to system like his one. what would you do? just not care and walk away or would we maybe all react as he does? even if it is crazy by normal standarts. I know, for myself, that if I believed such ...

I agree. That first post was a real masterpiece.
Of course, let anyone wonder, I did mean it in this panel:

Indeed. Sorry for the delay on that, Pixel. My Inbox kinda went Boom last week for obvious reasons and I've been a bit behind on things. Could you do me a favor? Could you email me at scott@scottmccloud.com and let me know what email address you used to start the account. Perhaps we can then track d...

I think we're doing okay. Most of the topic drift in the last month was due to the incendiary (sp?) topics I injected into the comics themselves. Now that we're past that for the time being, I expect it'll settle down a bit. Also, I kind of like to watch how discussions evolve. We're becoming a comm...

Naah, not a cameo. Just another guy with glasses and checked shirt. I gotta million of them. Anyway, I've added an option to both Parts One or Two for downloading. It's a direct link to the Flash File itself (as opposed to the html formatting page). Right click (PC) or Control-Click (Mac) to downloa...

For the record, I'm happy to post heated political discussions here. Most of what's been said is interesting and even funny. Greg was right to flag it when heat became flames on this page, though. It's a hard line to draw, but here are the specific comments on this thread's first page that I'd consi...

Personally, I find the sorts of questions Connor Moran posed both interesting and valid. I don't think he was advocating some kind of "thought police"-style censorship, in fact he explicitly disavowed such things. There's no reason to jump all over him. I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies immense...

Don't Worry, Be Happy!
To my flamer: Don't worry one bit. Your email was an honest expression of legitimate frustration. I publicly attacked someone in public life through my words and I should be prepared to receive the same in return. I don't think you did anything wrong. Also, in the end, I got far more letters of supp...
