Nor are they working on my PC with FireFox. But they did work in MS Internet Explorer. If you are useing FireFox you could right click the image and select properties and read them there.
Thanks for the tip. I'm using FireFox myself.

Since it is a humor eGreeting service, I wouldn't call it "very important". *laugh* Just a suggestion and a possible way to generate a little cash.

Affiliate banner ad program for Zwol

Here's a new online tongue-in-cheek eGreeting business that might generate some revenue for Zwol: http://www.divinemediator.com/ Here's its affiliate program: http://www.divinemediator.com/AffiliateProgram.php If it was done, I'd suggest getting both types of mini-banner ads and putting them simply ...

the second style works for portraits, but I don't know how it would work for everything else that a comic needs. What else does a comic need that it couldn't do? It might end up looking childish or sloppy. especialy if the comic remains in black and white. I plan to hire artists to do the artwork f...

Sorry if I over-emphasized cost and production time. They're actually quite minor and I agree with all your points. My main concern and why I posted this thread is... Which style would be best for the intended purpose as stated. I'm very torn between the two and I do need to make a decision between ...

Torn between two artistic styles.

Here are the two styles: http://www.dominic-deegan.com/fanart.html (man looking into crystal ball) http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/14017188/ (female portrait) I am launching a webcomic where I will be commissioning artists to do the artwork for it. What is this type of comic art style called?

I see this a lot in comics these day. I'm wondering what it is called. In the comic page in the following link, it is clearly shown in the middle panel on the left side where the woman is being shoved away by the she-devil. WARNING: this link has (*gasp*) penciled nudity. http://elfwood.lysator.liu....

Re: Getting repeat traffic to long format comic sites

What I want to try to do is have a sketch blog on my site, basically like a blog...except I'm not ranting on about my life, but posting sketches along with a few comments. Here I could post sketches for projects I'm working onm, any random sketches I'm doing and so on. It also gives people the opti...

I appreciate the advice from everyone. You're saying what the back of my mind has been whispering to me. Of course, the front of my mind is screaming, "Don't you DARE trash those first ten episodes! Don't even THINK it!" However, my gut has been telling me that it was too slow of a build-up. Reading...

Nagging doubts. Topic: Thinking of hiring a re-write writer

Things are rolling along nicely for the webcomic. I have a couple programming friends looking over the Help Wanted ad for a web designer. Not their specialty, but they feel they can make the ad more specific and thus more attractive for the web designer and thus better able to get what I want in the...

Re: Hmming and hawwing

Well, fairly obviously, each artists portfolio of existing work (which they should be able/willing to send you image files of) should give you an idea of who you should bother talking to. If you're left with a difficult, close call after this, well lucky you, but possibly then you could ask them to...

I don' t know- Did they fail Schulz? I've been reading a book of interviews with Schulz and I know that they hired him to work at the art school he took courses from. I don't remember him failing prior to that. Could be my memory, though. Edit: If this link works , he doesn't say that the art schoo...

Getting made a website for webcomic

I'm thinking of hiring a web designer to create a website for my webcomic. Hmmm. I should probably think of another way I could put "web" into that last sentence. Anyway... I'm thinking of posting the following to RentACoder.com, guru.com, and other service auction sites. Thoughts and constructive c...

Re: Let's talk money. Topic: hiring an artist

Not much to say as this really isn't my field but I do have a couple of thoughts. Firstly, if you post on the webcomics forums, mention the money in the subject line. Everyone's asking for artists and nobody's paying so it's an important thing to advertise. That's why I was going to put "artist-for...

Hey Scott! Hey, Tim! :D Ok, thoughts as they came: *Scott puts on his catcher's mitt to receive.* You might mention how the comic will be publicized and in what ways the artist will be given credit. This may be attractive to an artist seeking exposure as well as paying contract work. I was thinking...
