I like the jam so far! I have a suggestion; should we maybe start having Greg post these on the main page? It will put something new up!

The font choices that are made should be one to help convey the mood of the story, may that be a script for romance, all caps for SHOUTING, serif, sans serif, modern, funky...etc. Readability is usually of the utmost importance and then style. I personally like the comics that have started to use di...

The comic that is currently posted is representing the fact that tomorrow never comes! The comic promises a new one "tomorrow", but everytime that we check back its "today". I finally get it! I love modern art! later, Mr. Sarcastic, who shouldn't poke fun since his site has been down for months http...

For the love of God do not use Arial or Times New Roman unless you have too! While they are both nice fonts they are default fonts in a lot of programs. When people use them it looks like they did not put any thought into what font to use. Like it was said, pick fonts that have a family (i.e. Bold, ...

Loved the new comic Cat! My first response is to say that I'm sorry that you had to go to the street, but on thinking about it for a moment I think that it was on of the best things that could have happened for you. You seem to realize some things that others don't. I have a friend that when he was ...

Even though online comics allow us the infinite canvas, designers need to realize that the viewer will only see an amount that their monitors will allow them to see (i.e. 640x480 typically). This is the "page" for online comics. Just thought that I would throw in my two cents. Randy http://www.subat...

I hope that everyone likes the book. Pick it up and let me know what you think of what everyone submitted. (And just to let you know I actually was the one that assembled the beast in Quark. Noppie did a great job of getting people to submit art.)

Buy one!

How about this "Sequential art is sort of like love, you know it when you feel it." Do we really NEED a defintion? Will it make us like it any more? Will it make us like what is not any less?

"We'd probably be better off if every time we had the urge to debate the definition of comics, we actually a drew a comic instead."

I agree with Jack Masters.

I think that it is possible for a single panel could be considered a comic or not a comic based on the temporal map of the image. If it shows only one event then it is not. If it shows more than one event (see the temporal map part of Understanding Comics) then it is a comic. Even though words do ta...

Personally, Happy Herbert takes not very much time at all, since he is sort of like Mr. Potatohead in Illustrator. I write the story on the fly as I'm assembling it. I working on another story at the moment that is in the preliminary stage, and will be awesome. As for Potlatch, contact Noppie@aol.co...

I read that as well. While that is technically a Z axis comic it is sort of a false z axis. Compare a stack of papers and a hallway. Both have a z axis, the hallway by walking and the paper by moving the top sheet away. I don't mean to be negative about the whole thing, I just thought that I would m...
