This looks cool, and possibly labor saving.
But I use a PC. When will this product become available to non-Mac stuck-in-Bill Gates'-Windows-hell lamos like me?
I think I've said that before.

but their reinterpretation of Zaphod's heads and arms just seems wrong, somehow. Any excuse for using those spiffy CGI FX. The choice of hiring Alan " It's a Snape " Rickman to play Marvin's voice is pretty good, but I'm wondering why they didn't go with the original, nearly perfect Marvin in every...

You know, I had asked the same question that Tim did when I saw Greg's blog entry. I didn't post the question because I thought I'd look dumb. [insert smarmy comeback here] OK, so it's one syllable, not two. Now I can finally sleep at night. BTW, I still don't know exactly what the word Zwol means. ...

Mel Brooks Easter Sunday Marathon
Hey, Greg. How do you leave History of the World off the Easter list , especially when Mel and the gang show up at the Last Supper, and hang with J.C. and his Posse of Apostles? I'm sittin' flickin' chickens and I'm lookin' through the pickins' and suddenly these goyim break down my walls. I didn't ...

Thanks, Greg. You truly are the Linkmaster General. After seeing the trailers, I'm thinking "This might not be as bad as I'm expecting." I especially liked the trailer on UGO (I'm assuming that's the British one). They seem to have gone for a cuteness factor with Marvin as far as looks (perhaps for ...

Are there any previews out showing scenes from the movie? All I've seen is a short trailer with lots of sound and visual effects and the title. The only scenes I've seen are still photos. Of course, I already have some what of a visualization idea of HHG. My introduction to it was back when I was in...

Ok, so a comic may not be the best format to write a musical. Don't tell that to Frank Jacobs and Al Jaffe. During my misspent youth, one of the favorite books on my shelf was Sing Along With MAD . The highlights were "My Fair Lester" and the mob musical "The Sound of Murder". Sung to the tune of.....

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking figure drawing books. I own several myself, including the afore mentioned Virtual Pose 2. They are an excelent supplement, and you can learn a lot from them. However, I still think there's really no substitute for a live model. Of course, if you can't get a model...

I think it applies very well to SCREEN TONE. It's used a lot in manga, sometimes with amazing effect. Since most manga is required to be printed entirely B&W, it's a great method. However, I've noticed a trend of people trying to imitate the manga "style," and they repeat one very bad mistake -- sc...

Batman's Boner This makes one wonder: Just when did the word "boner" become a slang term for an erection? Was it in common usage back in 1951, when this comic was published? My first inclination was that the writer was trying to see how many times he could get away with printing the word boner with...

Rip, that photo is a fake - Burt is obviously stuffed, the bear was in no real danger. Turns out, Burt and the Bear wound up doing a dance number together - that is until the Bear kicked him in the jiggery-pokies. If you missed the Burt-Bear FedEx commercial you can see it here (they've also got th...

Try taking some figure drawing classes. The best way to get in tune with drawing the human figure is to draw live models on a consitant basis. It's better than anything you can get out of a book. I've come to the conclusion that figure drawing is like playing a musical instrament. You got to keep pr...

Well, I was a bit short on time, and ran into some snags making a Flash version of my Super Bowl comic. I'll do one next year. Instead I just added a Flash Halftime Show, which was enough work in its self.
I've hyped it here.

Flash Halftime Show added for 2005
I posted this comic up last year. For this year's Superbowl, I've added something new to it... Read on... Do you want to watch some cleaned up, wholesome Super Bowl Halftime Show, with an aging ex-Beatle churning out dusty oldies, and silly love songs? No, you want a racy, naughty Halftime Show, wit...

Uh oh! Scott is pulling ahead of the Bear. His sicophants, toadies, and lackeys ( ) must be out in full force, voting multiple times. Time to start staining fingers with purple ink to enforce "one person, one vote". The ballot box stuffing is getting worse than All-Star voting. And I just put...
