See for yourself- Menu shots found here. Good Lord! There's nobody piloting the ship! Get out of the way! Runaway starship! :P I don't remember the episode(s), although I think one of the first was the one about the shape-shifting-salt-sucking alien. Yeah, that was " Man Trap ". NBC chose it to be ...

Am I allowed to make a second guess? Well, I making one anyway, because I know what it is...well sort of. I've definately nailed down the setting. Drum roll please... It's a courtroom proceeding! In the upper right panel...that's the judge sitting up on high, with the seal of the State (or something...

The thing that's struck me most is the ligthting and colors that were used on the show. It's very impressionistic. I noticed over the years, the bridge lighting varied from episode to episode during the first season, but by the second season it was pretty uniform, and bright, as opposed to the dimm...

Ah, memories of Saturday mornings past. Did they havta use that cheesy, low-budget '70s Filmation drawing style? And what was up with the guy with the third arm in his chest?Greg Stephens wrote:There is an online Star Trek animated-style webcomic, by the way.

I watched..."Charlie X" this evening "He had a mean look. I had to freeze him. I like happy looks." WPIX used to cut out that whole rec-room scene, I remember, with Uhura singing, and Charlie doing card tricks. But they left in the girls doing cartwheels in the gym, which Sci-Fi cut out last time I...

More Trek news - http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Entertainment/ap20040831_1923.html B&W, yep had one too. Of course in order to change the channel, you had to turn the dial on the TV. No remote!!! :D Two dials. One for VHF, and one for UHF. I had an aunt who had one of those radio remote controls, that w...

Personally, I prefer Mr. Blue, Mr. Green, Mr. Brown, and Mr. Gray from The Taking of Pelham One Two Three . A friend of mine, who grew up Manhattan, told me a story about Lawrence Tierney (Joe Cabot). He said that when he was a kid, in the early '70s, he once decided to run away from home, and wound...

To Boldly Split Infinitives
I may have to save up my shekels and pick up this DVD set. It's better than watching it on Sci-Fi Channel, where they butcher the show to pieces. OK, let's all reminiss about our first Star Trek experience. Hey, it's more wholesome than discussing some other first experiences  . I've been a Tr...

I guess the plan is to bore the Fantastic Four to death with six hours of Garcia playing scales. ;-) Hey, Jerry only played scales for half the show; usually the latter half, after he had taken a bunch of drugs during internmission. :P Actually, I saw the sans-Jerry Dead at Jones Beach , a few week...

Re: How does somebody become a comic book editor?
So how does somebody "break-in" as a comic book editor? One of the teachers I had at SVA, who was a veteran of the comic book biz, would have answered that question "Remove your brain, cut out your heart, and poke out your eyes." Of course, I had a few other teachers who actually were, at one time ...

permalink in case you missed the entry. Even so, far more information about [Jimmy] Page than the actual thing they're supposed to be reporting. Or aren't sidewalks exciting enough to report on? That's because Jimmy Page is God! I'm glad to hear this. Zep never did get the same kind of respect in t...

I was thinking of heading to the stationary [store] and picking up some actual screen tones. Gees, G, where do you get screentones (aka zippatone) nowadays? The art store I used to buy them from stopped selling them years ago. The guy there said "Dey got dose computers to do dat stuff now."; which ...

Pretty interesting, Greg. Sadly, I'm still using the free webspace offered by my ISP, which doesn't have PHP suppoert. I'm trying to use Javascript to do a lot of things PHP can do, but it's very clunky. I wonder if you can point us to any good web hosting services that are PHP enabled...and cheap.....

I just mentioned the whole Jew, Bronx, and Flatbush thing because these are three words are usually not assossiated with the Wild West. Growing up in the Bronx, it seemed I was the only kid who wanted to play Cowboys and Indians, while everybody else wanted to play Cops and Robbers. Yet, after all t...

OK, checked out rest of it. Code of Bushido meets the Law of the West. I'd like to see where this story goes. I also, like Eric, would like to see Part One. And also, like Eric, I'd like to see more of the western genre in comics. Yes, even though I'm a Jew from the Bronx, I love westerns. Hell, my ...
